Now if I could master what my cats seem to know instinctively ... I should be able to snag a tomcat real soon! &;-)

That's unbelievable that they did a study on this....what is the purpose? I can tell them now before they spend money on a study that kittens get adopted before big cats and outgoing kitties get adopted before shy kitties. Maybe I should write to someone and tell them so they know and won't have to waste time and money.... :}

My late cat Gracie had a horrible, whiney, demanding tone that used to set my teeth on edge just to hear it. I hated her voice.
We finally had to put her down at age 15 when she developed an incorrigible need to pee on my young daughter's new bed. (Yes, we tried several solutions, including finding her new accommodations. All failed.)
I must say, I haven't missed that voice since we had her put down.

Quite a ways off topic but since I call her mommy my kitten I guess that makes her a kitten too.
I finally got some postable pictures of my little girl
(Argee, we discussed beautiful daughters before, here's my proof)

(can't see the pictures in preview. I hope they come through)
We are teaching her to respond with "meow" when someone says "kitty, kitty, kitty". It really brings a smile to everyones face when she does it. Of course the child is already quite a ham.
God Save America (Please)

Argh. I have two cats: a silent old curmudgeonly beast with very low purr volume, and a young black long-hair who is very "talkative" and demanding. He purrs like a diesel engine. He is never happy unless he is in physical contact with me. He worships at the Church of Boris, and I am his only God.
Is it any wonder I love the old, nasty one and hate the affectionate one?

Actually, its the parasite that causes schizophrenia in humans that
cats carry that induces the cats to sound pleasant.
It's the survival instinct of the parasite.
