Yes...it was awesome. Hundreds of thousands of people booing the smarmy ones. And hushed at the depth of the inaugural address.
I was struck by the speech....in hindsight maybe the most prophetic speech I have heard by any politician. the people in the crowd were from everywhere USA and they were very cool.
I'll tell the story about the dweeb reporter who questioned us on the subway ride to the evening festivities some other time. A fine example of journalistic neutrality.

I think that's true for most of us. I was talking to a brick mason today about the NASCAR place in Michigan and how they're not allowed to bring anything but small coolers that get inspected on the way in. He's really bummed and not happy about going to something he loves and being slightly fearful.
He was the one who pointed out the graffitti...
