What!? No Merry and Pippin with Treebeard posters? What about Frodo, Sam and Gollum? I like those you've posted, but I hope there will be some more!

Spoiler alert!
As most of you know from the discussion this morning, the new trailer is out, it is not yet the nice high resolution version that we hope is coming tonight to the official site, but the sneak preview that was posted at AOL...
To download it, go HERE: Official Site - AOL exclusive sneak preview (don't need AOL to get it from here)
Here are some screen caps I have been able to grab this morning, Looks Great! Check out the screen caps that are at the official site too... they are smaller images, but better quality, and they could capture the really fast moving stuff that I can't.... Like the WARGS....

You want to ping the others to this? Great high-resolution close-up of the old guy's face. I am amazed by how much depth of emotion is expressed in those eyes.

I love it! He's just how I pictured him; how on earth do they keep getting virtually everything exactly right!?! If this doesn't win best picture, I will be mightily surprised.

I must admit that I have never been able to picture Treebeard when I read it... maybe the Hildebrandt Brothers' version... but not even really that.
But he looks OK! - I am going to be OK with him!

The pic at 265 doesn't show on my monitor; clicked Properties and the URL says it's not found on that server.

He's just how I pictured him; how on earth do they keep getting virtually everything exactly right!?! If this doesn't win best picture, I will be mightily surprised I think Tolkien gave so much substance to the characters that a devoted re-reader with an inspired, bright, visual imagination and enough $$ could do them all well, especially if the recreator has it in mind to stay true to Tolkien, which PJ & Co. did.
Re best picture possibilities, I felt, when FotR came out, the superstitions of Hollywood -- they knew PJ had two more in the tank and they knew this thing was massively great. They weren't about to give best picture to him three years together, no way. Or to look so foolish as to give best pic to parts one or two but not three, so they are gambling and hoping no one comes up with something better during the year Return of the King is released ... because that's when they are hoping to bestow best picture on PJ et al.
I also think the power brokers in Hollywood have a plan to give PJ & Co. some sort of achievement award at the end of the trilogies being released / honored, whether he gets a best pic eventually or not.
