I too have had kitties that liked to ride in the car and I started them out when they were babies. But some just don't take to it..They miss a lot, I tell them...fresh air, the breezes blowing through their ears....getting whiskers in knots ( only kidding) but they do miss a lot.

Catpuppy, after eating all those goodies, Crusher won't recognize you when you get home....
If you are still in California next weekend, try to come to Arroyo Grande ( in San Luis Obispo county) for the annual strawberry festival! It is always lots of fun and you can really get your fill of some of the biggest and sweetest strawberries you will ever flap a lip over! Make hotel reservations cuz the place will be full...you may need to stay in SLO or Santa Maria but it is only about 25 minutes from either location. Try not to miss it....

hiya cg --- catpuppy is on the left coast, but he's in Portland, Oregon - pretty far from California.

It's too bad about the lack of house calls by much of anyone except computer nerdz these days; but it's also good that you've got folks to look in on your family. Good job, and good karma for you guys. Have a super trip and take lots of pics for us. ;-)

Does "ACME" actually stand for something and if so, what?Acme n, the highest point; point of culmination; peak.
Although the "M" might be for MicroSoft, whose product performance does seem to fit the bill...
To: null and void
It was in use as a "brand" before the existence of microsoft.
To: null and void
Besides, I get the impression that it is initials.

(it was a joke, sweet)...

You may not be aware that this week our lovely, fresh-faced First Lady is making her first solo European trip. The press swooned over every infuriating, mind-numbing moment of the Carter's trip to Castro's Cuba. We also saw numerous pictures of the paunch bellied, flabby, white thighed x42 on a golf course in Hawaii. BUT barely a word on the First Lady's trip. Indeed, you really have to dig through the wire services to find anything about it. Correction: Martha Brandt did a short, somewhat dull and occasionally catty piece for Newsweek on the trip.
Sooooo.... I thought you might enjoy seeing what she's been doing. :)

While touring an Afghan exhibit at the Musee Guinet in Paris Mrs Bush pledged to ask wealthy US philantrophist to help restore Afghanistan's two Buddhas destroyed by the Taliban last year and called on the President's administration to help salvage Afghan art. She condemned teenage suicide bombings in the Middle East, Russia and Pakistan in a speech to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). In Budapest she comforted cancer patients during a visit to the National Institute of Oncology. The First Lady announced a grant of $500,000 dollars in US aid dedicated to American-Hungarian health care cooperation. Later she toured St. Matthias Church overlooking Budapest with U.S. Ambassador to Hungary, Nancy Brinker, a longtime friend of Mrs. Bush from Dallas. In Prague Mrs Bush speaks with U.S. Ambassador to the Czech Republic as they join representatives of many nations gathered to pay respect to Jews and prisoners of war held at the Terezin Nazi concentration camp near Prague. She laid a wreath and a bouquet of lillies to mark the anniversary of Terezin's liberation by the Soviet Red Army in May 1945.

When my daughter had to have her Tuffy put to sleep (3 years ago now), her vet came out to the apartment and took care of it there.....he was terrified of going in cars, and all the smells at the vet clinic drove him bonkers.
Deni and her vet talked it over and that's how they did it. They took his little body and had him cremated. She's got a beautiful cobalt blue urn.
It wasn't overkill so far as she's concerned because he was her little boy for 14 years and shared just about every heartache she's had.
BTW, celtic gal....he was one of the brothers to Tux and Little Girl Kitty [my two].

Too bad CP is all the way up north at this time...he is going to miss some wonderful berries... but then again berries are no comparison for a grandbaby...
