THEN their is the "legal" prescription drugs!! All in all, character counts and character is "built into" children but not without failures and battles. I guess there is nothing more hypocriptical than mothers stoned on Valium cracking the whip to their children about the "abuse" of drugs. *sigh*

Changing the subject here a moment - last weekend I watched a program on "weird houses". They showed the one from San Jose - Sarah Winchesters monstrosity!! My God, talk about a screwed up mind. The spirts would not "let" her stop building and building she did!! FOFL. Stairs to nowhere, etc. etc. - Ever been through it Nully??

My Mom has been pushing the virtues of anti-depressant medications to me for years now. She's on them, her sisters are on them - I should be on them. NO. No way am I gonna start that crap just so I can pretend everything is okay when it isn't. She cannot cope with reality without going ballistic, I can.

I was through Winchester House. It is an oddity. The woman proovided employment for a lot of craftsmen... but was a looney tune.

IMO anti-depressants are the worst of all psychiatric drugs. I once worked for a dr. that told me he would NEVER prescribe anti-depressants. Right now it seems that every second woman is on them. Most of them however, have nowhere else to turn.

She really was looney tune. She was driven to do that. In fact the documentary stated that she thought something "dreadfufl" would happen if the building ever stopped. Nully: Is it true that there are still builders working on it even now?? w-e-i-r-d!!

Do gooders ALWAYS feel like their services are needed, but when they have the power of the G'ovt behind them, that is when they become terribly DANGEROUS.

Hi Canadian....I've been thru the Winchester House....and she was odd, to be polite. Open a door and there is a solid wall there.

And yet on the other hand, there were some beautiful Tiffany lamps and windows, as I recall.
