That is sad. I worked at Churchhill Downs the year Seattle Slew won the derby. That was the only one I ever got to make live.

So sell poison, just make sure poison is properly labelled, and no one is then subject to criminal liability for the poison's affects, whatever they may be? As long as the government regulates the labelling and taxes the profits, anything goes? THAT'S individualism?

A priest towed away your mother's neighbor's car from in front of your aunt's house?

I think your intolerance for collectivism will chill out once you've got your gov't distributed and approved and taxed drugs and are stoned legally. THEN you won't have to think clearly about the real meaning of collectivism and how it now rules your life more than it did when drugs were illegal.

Exactly!! See, you're starting to get it.

It's called 'caveat emptor.'

If we CONTINUED to follow your dogged adherence to Neo-Collectivist dogma, then we should outlaw and prosecute gunmakers.

I only wish that YOU were as intolerant of neo-collectivist thought.

I suspect you will become more intolerant of your own attitudes when it comes time for the Collectivists to decide that Christianity is just like tobacco, a mental carcinagen, and that you should be kept away from it. For you own good, mind you.

Gun ownership is specifically protected by the Constitution because it is the citizens' duty to protect himself from government tyranny and his country from foreign invasion and his property and family from criminal violations, and that duty is most effectively performed when armed. I don't see how drugs can compare Constitutionally.

Yes, I thought so, too. I saw a piece about him on TV just last week. Apparently he sired so many off spring that many of the great thoroughbreds in the future will surely have Slew in their lineage.

Once again, I must remind you that the Constitution does protect freedom to worship, just as it protects gun ownership, and the reasoning behind that protection has nothing to do with drugs.

It won't matter, when your ideological brethren, the FERVENT neo-collectivists, decide that you are one of 'Them.'

Today, it's NW loggers, Klamath farmers, druggies, Conservatives... tomorrow the Official Bad Guy list might include Christians.

But just go ahead and stick you head back in the sand while they cart off all the others for 'breaking the law.' We'll send for you when it is your turn.

Your great-great-great grandma could buy cocaine, opiates, OR Marijuana over the counter, but you think that it is BAD for people today to have the same ability. Shameful, really, given the heritage this country has, of fighting for freedom.
