Thank God for the internet. No one will ever have the world's media locked up as long as this freedom is available to the people. Leftists will never wrestle control away, though I think they are behind the porn saturation on the internet, to frighten families off. The leftie lawyers will make sure cases don't even make it to court that might stifle this porn "freedom." Yet they band together to fight against Free Republic.

The Seattle PI reports this update today:
Layne Staley, lead singer of the popular Seattle band Alice in Chains, died from a fatal mix of heroin and cocaine, the King County Medical Examiner's Office said yesterday.
Staley, 34, was found dead in his University District home on the evening of April 19 surrounded by drug paraphernalia after police were summoned by his family.
Hundreds of rock fans gathered for separate memorials in the week after news of his death.
Many who expressed condolences also voiced regrets that for two weeks no one had checked on the welfare of the artist, whose condition was known to have been deteriorating for years.
An autopsy concluded that he had died April 5.
Later tests confirmed that his death was caused by acute intoxication of a narcotic mix called, among other terms, "speedball," "dynamite" and "murder one."
Another street term for an injection of heroin and cocaine together, Belushi, was coined after the 1982 death of comedian John Belushi, who also died from such a lethal mix. Actor River Phoenix also had heroin and cocaine in his body when he died in 1993.
So he was dead for a full two weeks before his body was discovered. I wonder if his dope suppliers were getting worried about losing a good customer? I wonder if they knew earlier, but didn't report it to the police.

You aren't comparing marijuana to heroin and cocaine, are you? Is talking about one the same as talking about all?
To: ValerieUSA
Morning kids! Comparing the products used in a pipe and a needle is not valid, although comparing the right to use certainly is for those individuals eighteen and older, and who are self-sufficient. imo

Howdy loddy.
Those for marijuana legalization often claim that it is safe and should be legal and don't want to involve the legalization of other drugs in their argument -- not until weed is legal first. THEN they'll be more honest about their intent to have all drugs legalized.

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see some civil wars or EXTREME civil unrest sweeping through Europe. Also, if the Left is thrown from power here, come November, then the verbal attacks by the Demonrats that we have seen thus far, will seem like compliments by comparison. I have noticed this pattern of violence from the left over there and some over here also
And you are right I wouldn't be surprised if a civil war broke out over there ... the left can be a real nasty bunch

Interesting article, but too brief. I hope the public is informed when the FBI figures out this guy's connections -- but we won't be. Don't want to make us suspicious of our neighbors in the mosques.
To: ValerieUSA
According to the posters on that thread that area has a VERY large mosque. Right out there in America's Heartland.

from the Sacramento Bee:
A pathologist's report Tuesday confirmed that a 17-year-old Yuba City High School junior died from a fatal dose of the party drug Ecstasy.
Nicole Ann Crowder went to a party Friday night at the home of another student whose parents were away for the weekend, Yuba City police said. She became ill at the party and was placed in a bedroom to rest. She was unresponsive when found the next morning and was pronounced dead at a hospital.
"A toxicology test determined there was a lethal dose in her bloodstream," said Sutter County Sheriff Jim Denney. No evidence of other drugs or alcohol was found in her system. What's the solution? Teach kids how much Ecstacy is a lethal dose?

I figured it would make your day to be called a cheap tramp.
