Good afternoon! Sorry I didn't check in this morning...I had meant to and then hubbie had me leave with him to do errands. We bought plants and planted the front windowboxes.

I am coming down with a cold...woke at 3 with a sore throat, took Nyquil and went back to bed. I did the yard stuff necessary, but I am feeling pretty crummy. I think I caught grandson's virus.

I did get to see the replay of the President at the Correspondent's dinner. I was so proud of him because he manages to be funny without being conceited or vulgar. What a good man!

Sorry you're under the weather, Jane! Hope it's short-lived at least.

..... Did your poison ivy ever clear up? Did you find anything to help it? We've been playing around with the stuff today .... trying to keep it from taking over our yard ..... though we tried to be careful, I'm sure we'll get some of it.

..... I did most of the handling of the stuff that had to be done ..... hubby sprayed. He's gotten extremely allergic to it and I don't seem to be as sensitive ..... or wasn't in the past .... (knock on wood!) .... but the ivy had to be dealt with ... it was on the verge of becoming a HUGE problem.
