Goodnight Ringy, and take heart that the Lord obviously has His hand on this young man's life. There is a scripture that says nothing can snatch His little ones from His hand. I can't recall exactly where it is at the moment. But knowing that should be a comfort.

G'night ringy. You are so right - your young friend's Spirit is the BIG GUY and the malicious ones are not going to win when they tangle with Him. But as ugly as malice is in this world, I'm sure it's much, much worse in the spiritual realm. Very scary.

What we see in the physical world is an imperfect reflection of the spiritual world, but a reflection nevertheless.

That is such a frightening aspect of having an accident. I kept looking for ways and places I could navigate my car to or through that wouldn't get others killed and without getting us decapitated in the process.

When I finally got the car stopped, my leg wouldn't quit shaking for several minutes.

This whole trip I felt that God was with me, my co-pilot. I've been reflecting on 'how/why' this happened...and all I can come up with is that it was a test of my faith and trust in God.

My daughter has been fighting against believing in God. This evening I called her again just to tell her how much I enjoyed our time together and she told me she actually prayed that I would have a safe return trip home [she has refused to pray for years and has asked me to leave out 'details' of my religious stuff in conversations]....so maybe this and a few other things are a start to the restoration of a belief in God. That's what I'm praying and hoping for.

It's great that she is otherwise healthy and heals well. I'm under the impression that there is an extended period after a hernia operation when you must restrict lifting any object heavier than maybe 2 to 5 pounds. Several years ago one of my sisters had to have her spleen removed and for six weeks she was not to lift anything heavier than 2 pounds.

Rowdee .. many folks go thru that stage but in time we all come around and realize .. Yes there is a God and prayers are a good thing ..

Some folks just need to figure this out in their own way .. but when they do it opens a whole new world

Oh yeah, I was gonna tell y'all about this one too. When I was looking in at the DU to see what venomous foolishness they were up to over there these days, one of them was daring another to register here and do a post for a John Walker Lindh defense fund. The one doing the daring was saying he/she couldn't because of having already been banned here. I have honestly never seen such a bunch of complete mental and moral reprobates as are to be found at that site. If only they weren't so darned funny!
