Nighty, sweet......Nighty,Val.....
About St. Helens and its erupting.....our cattle where black/white face and brown/white face.....but when St. Helens went off, they were black and grey or brown and grey....the only thing white was around their eyeballs.
We wound up feeding them under the tree canopy across the creek down near the river....our Vet was recommending that or under a shed roof because the consumption of a lot of that ash could grind their teeth down...I was more concerned with possible respiratory problems.

Then, of course, sometimes I just stop in and talk to myself...

Mo, I was following the discussion about Catholics earlier...it appears some people need to be told theycanbiteyourass.

From the boondocks of Idaho to the metropolitican life of Phoenix, AZ, and the San Fernando Valley, in Los Angeles County, CA.

It sounds like you should be suffering from culture whiplash. I moved almost 15 years ago from Montana to Puget Sound, Washington. It took awhile to adjust.

I'm amazed that those who know little or nothing about the Catholic Church, and have never been supporters, now presume to advise it how to run it's affairs.

What hear on FR or those in the media???
The media doesn't surprise me ... for those at FR .. Lately I have seen a lot of very good and intelligent posts on the issues which is a lot better then the fly by bash posts I use to see ..
It's a hot topic that does need to be address if we want things to change ... and they do have to change

Oh, I'm sure it has something to do with culture shock.
I moved here from Montana about 8 years ago....Western Montana....God's Country!

Well, of course, Mo would NEVAH say something like bitemyass....that is in the realm of the Southern ladies! LOL.......

I've watched the church for a lot of years...I had the sense there was an influx of agenda-driven libbies in the sixties. In the late seventies and early eighties it was liberation theology. For the last twenty years feminists have been pushing for "equality." I thought Pope JP2 was a breath of fresh air. Do you worry there will not be a Catholic Church at some point?

What part? I lived in Bozeman for a couple years, and Missoula and Lolo.

Good grief.....our ranch was 20 - 25 miles out of Missoula...in Clinton. A couple of years we also hayed some land at Beavertail.
Only went to Bozeman once....I liked it, though Western Montana was where my heart was....our ranch was on the Clark Fork River (3/4 mile river frontage)....pine trees on the surrounding Sapphire and Garnet Mountains.
