Children that say "Please" and "Thank you"

Future Guild and Gentlemen's Auxillary memebers. And that makes me happy.

Wonder how long it will be before the lib press starts speculating that Mary Matalin drove her out...

Please share what makes you happy.

Oh, what an appropriate thread.

My 'puter got hit with the Klez virus this past weekend and attached itself to all my executable files. So programs wouldn't launch. After rooting around in my root directory, I tried to quarantine the rogue files and inoculate them, only to have the worm zap my Norton AntiVirus AND Zone Alarm. There was no way I could get online for 4 days.

Talk about frustrating--withdrawal ain't purty. Anyway, we finally got the vaccine from Symantec and I'm back online today. Yay!!

I should've known when we saw an e-mail from my husband's boss on Saturday that it was the virus bomb. He never e-mails us on Saturdays.

Simple pleasures make me happy---like internet access.

Howlin, love your homepage.

Old news (4/11/02) that we may have missed (warning, moderate gag alert):

Chelsea Clinton and Ian Klaus dined Saturday night at Foreign Cinema in the Mission. They sure know their hot spots. This is the joint that screens flicks on the walls while you eat and drink. Here's the skinny:

DOWN-TO-EARTH CHELSEA called in person earlier Saturday to make a reservation in her own name. The Chelsea party, which consisted of two other young couples, came in at 9:30, avoiding the dinner rush. They were seated on the ground floor. Sociably, the six switched seats with each other throughout the evening.

Everyone dressed casually, but that's all relative -- stunning Chelsea wore black pants and a black off-the-shoulder top with conservative makeup. Her hair was up in a bun. Ian's look was described as "a pseudo-professor/intellectual thing," with a corduroy-type shirt left untucked. With his curls he "looks really adorable."

Chelsea and Ian looked "very smitten." "They were digging each other's action," said manager Lisa Giglio. But although there was some hand-holding, there was nothing inappropriate like the tongue-hockey sessions in Oxford restaurants. The comfortable couples engaged in conversation, keeping to themselves. Of the wait staff, they weren't demanding and were "absolutely polite" to all. Various other diners/cineastes recognized the transformed ex-first daughter.

One asked if she should send Chelsea a drink. "When she wins the Nobel Prize, maybe," said Giglio. "Otherwise, can you imagine how many times people send her drinks? Growing up with the Secret Service, probably the last thing she wants to do is accept a drink from a stranger. But people mean well." Indeed, everyone seems to like Chelsea. Glad she's happy. The group stayed for three courses over a couple of hours. ... Chelsea is said to be a vegetarian. ... "My Left Foot" was screening outside. They shoulda shown "America's Sweethearts." ... SF Examiner.

Laura is going to wear color in Europe. That is going to be great. She has been in some really wonderful suits lately.

By the way, the Salvation Army came about 5 minutes ago and all the olive oil is gone. I guess they really wanted it! Thanks for the suggestion.

The male FReepers were very sweet to worry about us womenfolk, it was kind of refreshing. But, I didn't learn to kickbox for nothing - bring it on!

You GO girl! Glad to read your report. I had read a thread about the Sat. gathering on Sun. night. Sounds like the unwashed were doing their regular, "we want the freedom to speak, but we'll disrupt you if YOU try it" thing!

Good Morning everybody. It's great to be back! I spent yesterday with my attny. Things are beginning to move with my lawsuit against the woman on her cell phone who hit me while I was sitting at a stoplight waiting for the light to turn.

It's amazing what you have to go thru to obtain justice.
