Am I in trouble?
It was my understanding that The Vatican decided what was true and to be believed for all Catholics. If that is true, then Catholic Lay groups should be out of line trying to dictate Theology to anyone.
I do know that protestants are allowed to make it up as they go along. No you are not in trouble .. lol
You are right Catholic's don't make things up as they go along and Yes the Vatican makes the "final" decision of what is true and what is not .. but that does not mean there is not a study/research on a subject .. or that people don't believe different thing
For example .. Medjugorje .. there has not been a "final" report as to whether Medjugorje is real but that does not mean it stopped Catholics from believing
You did confuse me on what you meant by dictating Theology to anyone

Catholic laity that dares to condemn the molestation of their children by priests are cultish for their opinion if they back it up with Scripture and doctrine, making it a theological statement? You backed yourself into a corner swerve. Catholic Laity that condemn the molestation of their children by priests by inventing new and unaproved interpretations of scripture and doctrine to back it up would be heretical. Since recieved doctrine already condemns child molestation, they have no need to do that. Laity who use the abuse scandal as an oportunity to attack Church Doctrine on chastity are heretical. What is this corner of which you speak?

The Chi-Rho or Crook Inevitably, the Church adopted so-called pagan ritualism and its symbols. Look at the maze on the left. The Papal symbol of the shepherd's crook or chi-rho is directly based on the crossing point of the maze.
It was also the monogram of Christ and formed the labaram of Constantine. The Church was quick to adopt the maze symbol which you'll find in many European churches and cathedrals.
The Scriptural reference to mazes or labyrinths?
To: Servant of the Nine
Actually, I find labyrinths boring. I just took some more pictures - will download them.
To: ValerieUSA
The Scriptural reference to mazes or labyrinths? It is only Fundamentalist Christians who demand a scriptural basis. Every other church accepts other traditions and secondary sources. In fact, that is the very definition of a Fundamentalist Sect
