I remember getting a call from American Express one day, they were looking for my business partner. It seems his Amex card was stolen while he was checking out of a hotel in Harrisburg.
Amex knew about the carad being gone before he did and I knew it before he did - a very astute clerk in a sunglass store found it hard to believe a teenager would have a Gold Corporate Amex card and asked him for some ID - when he didn't return with ID the clerk called AMEX and they immediately called us. Fortunately I was on the account so they were able to speak with me about the problem.

What position does xsbaseball girl play? I love Little League. It's such a blast watching the kids hit and run bases.
xs, you're not going to believe this, but you got our weather. It's only 68 degrees here right now. May warm up to the low 70s. It's perfectomundo!
When that happened to me on a credit card, the amount was low, only about $500. It was airlines tickets. The credit card company could have easily tracked that. Maybe they did. I had a hunch who had done it, but the CC company refused to tell me.

LOL!!!!!
Hubby turned the AC on here last night - but the system needs a charge, so we wasted a lot of electricity for no cooling at all.
All kinds of temperature records were broken around here yesterday.
Found our dream home when we were in VA yesterday - now I just have to sell this place and find a piece of property to put the house on.

You are actually moving your home with you? Of course, that would be a lot easier than packing. LOL!

To: Slip18
LOL!!!!
No, we're buying a manufactured home. I absolutely fell in love with this place yesterday - 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, the kitchen of my dreams and a fireplace!!!!!!
I actually cried yesterday because this place isn't sold.

Where in MD??????
Sometime in the next 6 months or so my hubby is going to have to be in Austin for about 3 weeks - I'll have to get up with you when his job decides when they are going to send him. He's got lots of friends in houston, but doesn't know anyone in Austin.

The air conditioning went out here last year when it was over 100 degrees. Cyber was at work during the day and the 'bot was at school. The repairman came out and misdiagnosed the a/c system, and it got hotter. Three days later, it was fixed but then leaked through the ceiling.
Two weeks later we invested in a new one. That was the hottest couple of weeks in my life. I had to keep the dogs hosed off to keep them cool.

Is that old real estate agent of yours now off the profits for the sale of your home?

While I am gone next week, I am having the AC guys out to my place. Apparently you turn on the AC now, and it just keeps chilling and chilling and chilling! It doesn't recognize the thermostat. LOL

Not sure I understand your question, but one realtor who expressed an interest in selling this place has until Friday to call me - if she doesn't I've got another one lined up.
I would give anything to be down there before the end of the summer. Even though it is only about 125 miles away, it's like an entirely different world. The people have an entirely different mindset then around here.

There are some really nice manufactured homes. I've seen some models that take my breath away.

Entergy Nuclear, a subsidiary of the New Orleans-based utility, on Tuesday became the third company to notify the federal Nuclear Regulatory Commission of plans to seek an "early site permit" for a new nuclear plant. President Bush last year called on energy companies to resurrect the nuclear power plant construction business, which has been dormant since the mid- 1980s after the 1979 accident at Three Mile Island. The company said nuclear energy is an alternative to natural gas, which fuels most of the country's newest power plants.
"Having (the nuclear) option available is in the best interest of our power consumers, Entergy and the nation's energy independence," the company said.
Looks like Entergy Nuclear has the doughty to stand against the ecoterrorist and attempt to build another nuclear power plant. Let's see if Dasshole and his comrades let this happen.

Hubby would love that - which makes no sense to me. he is a man that would be perfectly happy if the temperature never dropped below 85. I guess being born in massachusetts has something to do with his aversion to cold weather.

I just remember your first real estate agent who did absolutely nothing for you had it in the contract that if you sold within six months of terminating your contract, that agent would receive a percentage of the profits on the sale of your home in the future. Whew! Long sentence.
