Drudge has his Rotating Light going for this
ABC LEANING TOWARDS GEORGE STEPHANOPOULOS AS SOLO ANCHOR FOR 'THIS WEEK'
No details yet, just the headline. Steffie makes Sam Donaldson look good. In fact he makes him look like a Republican

Yes, I just put Savannah on the route. *L* Now for the boys, I have to find places that will amuse them, too. I see an island called Kill Devil Hills - that sounds interesting.

I see an island called Kill Devil Hills - that sounds interesting. Surely you know about that. The wright brothers made their first flight there. It was in all the papers

Kitty Hawk is at Kill Devil Hills? I didn't know that. Okay, that sounds historical - we'll go there. It looks like we'll see 11 states besides Texas on our route.
Is Tallahassee worth a visit? Is the panhandle of Florida more interesting than the interior of Alabama (Montgomery)?

The Outer Banks islands are nice, Kill Devil was the site of the Kitty Hawk flight. Ocracoke is also nice, beautiful beaches, maybe a little quiet for teenage boys. Virginia Beach and Myrtle Beach are probably more to their liking. Ask Ratty about the NC beaches and Kathleen about Virginia Beach.

Clearly not stopping time. It looks like lots of hard time on that face. Now, stopping clocks on the other hand...

The beaches on the panhandle of Florida and LA are superb. Tallahassee is a snooze. St Augustine is more historically interesting, the beach is very nice there and the old town is picturesque.

Hey Val...so you are going to visit the southern states? Well, I lived in North Carolina for five years, and it was wonderful...there is much to do and see there....
You could visit the Wilmington area, which has much to offer...the beaches there are great, and swimming delightful
Wrightsville Beach is the one we always went to, but there are many others as well...
There is also the Blockade Runner Museum, and the USS North Carolina, which you can tour, and then see a light show at night, at the ship, which is really inspiring...
And nearby, there is Moores Creek Natl Park, or Monument, not sure of the specific category it falls into, but its also a great piece of American history...
And do get to Kill Devils Hill, to see where Orville and Wilbur Wright got their start...
Of course, I am recounting these things from my time in North Carolina, some 19yrs ago, and I am sure things have changed somewhat, but its still a delightful place I am sure...
Perhaps you could get to Ft. Bragg, my hubbys former base, and go to some of the military museums there..they are indeed worthwhile.
If I can think of any more places we went while we lived there, I will let you know...you should have glorious time on your trip through the south, a wonderful place with fine food, folks, and sights...

Ahhh, they are leaning towards where they think the center is, then... They are trying to get the ghost of Leon Trotsky to take the right wing position opposite Steffie.

Thanks a&mMom - I'm getting excited about the trip now. I hope we have time to see Grant in Annapolis -- *L* that's the reason we're going.
To: ValerieUSA
I hope you have lots and lots of time with your son...getting there, and enjoying the sights along the way is half the fun...
I was at Annapolis once, on our senior high school trip...it was very impressive..
