Darksheare was once again back in Kentothe. A small group from 'home' had come through a small portal and 'convinced' him to come 'home' for a short time. He'd been under the impression that the portal had collapsed stranding him on Ea'rth. At least, it sure felt like it had. He'd awoken back in familiar surroundings.
"Lord Dar She'are, You are back. We had been worried about you." A tall man stated. Everything was fuzzy.
"Why did you bring me back here?" He asked. Didn't that portal collapse? Hadn't he ended up bereft of power?

Several days later, he'd found his way back to the portal. It was definately unstable. He'd snuck out of the keep, and shadowed himself to get here. He hoped that his departure wasn't marked. He prayed that he hadn't been spotted. Back on Ea'rth, he was just a normal guy for once.
And that was good.
He steeled himself and stepped into the portal. Instantly it twisted and buckled. He was much too powerful on this end to go through it! He had to do something fast.....

Plattesburgh, N.Y.
The portal blasted open, flattening trees and belched out a figure onto the grass. Then it burped, twisted, and dropped into the ground. The ground trembled and jumped like a crazed horse under his back. Once the bouncing had stopped, he breathed in a breath of air. He was back! Now where was everyone else? And where was this place? A sign told him he had a lot of walking to do...

Sorry guys, out of me mind for awhile.

hi habs
I've been readng the articles and threads on FR bout that quake in your area
I am stunned
you are not in a quake zone at all (usually)
as far back as '95 new age sites had been saying 2002 would be a year which would shake rattle and roll
so far it's been a lil intense
if the only earth shaking event which happens is your quake, we'll be ok
Love, Palo

thanks for the link for Nat Hentoff's article bout slick willy in this week's Village Voice
I just read the article, found it interesting, perceptive, true
it matters to me he wrote it
do you know how to post articles on FR
I bet freepers would want to read it too

Wet Buzzard

Typically, a San Quintin fiesta is associated with a pig roast. But this bash was not your typical fiesta, not by a long shot. Juanita made sure that no guest would leave hungry by offering 3 pigs, a goat, a lamb, an endless supply of clam chowder, more fish than one could count, quail eggs, beans, rice, tortillas and 4, yes 4, kegs of beer! NOW YOU'RE TALKING BABY!!!

Dad, David Eidell and myself sat in the sunshine on the 2nd floor enjoying the end of a perfect day when David pointed just offshore and said, "look, whales!" Not more than 100 yards offshore was a pod of Gray whales moving north down the coast. Without hesitation the three of us jumped into the truck, readied our cameras, and intercepted the northward moving pod. For a little more than an hour we stood at the waterline and watched as pod after pod paralleled the beach on their northward journey. We counted no less than 30 adults and calves, and we took almost as many photos.

With the opening of the Wet Buzzard Juanita has begun a new chapter in San Quintin. Now there's a new place to go where amigos can enjoy great food & drink, secure camping and RV'ing, and the best view of the wild Pacific in all of Northern Baja. I would encourage all amigos who find themselves in the area to stop by the Zopilote and forget about everything for a while.

We have a READER REPORT this week from amigo Eric Robitaille who offers the following report & pictures on the Grand Opening of "The Wet Buzzard" restaurant, cantina, camping and RV resort:

By the time we arrived at the Zopilote Mojado (Wet Buzzard), the crowd had already built to about 75 amigos, and by sundown I estimated there to be 200 to 250 party goers! Obviously, Juanita and Dave's legend as "Fiesta Hosts" was no secret, and that legend would only grow by days end.

My last post was written by Eric, not me....
