Do y'all have Zone Alarm? What does it mean when the lock icon flashes on the zone alarm icon?

Where are the balloons? That looks like such fun.
I don't have zone alarm.
I think I'll take a little nap while the kids are still asleep since all my chores are done.

I just realized last night that I have a LOT of balloon pictures!

These are in Colorado. We had a big balloon thingy every year that lasted for 3 days. I also have pics from one in South Carolina but I haven't scanned them yet. In fact, I only have a few of these scanned. This was the second one I had taken Tyler to. He really enjoyed them. Like I said, it was ridiculously early in the morning but I guess that's when conditons are the most ideal there. Here's one with me and Tyler in the foreground. The sun is just coming up.

Please tell us more about the river and all the balloons.
Right click on the icon to check your ZA settings - I think.

We have a Balloonfest up here every summer....I believe it is in August.....there are pluses and real minuses.
The first year, I had no idea what was going on....but my sheep were in a panic running and baaaing.....had one of the balloon's land in my pasture! Thank goodness my fencing was new and put up by some fellas that knew how to put fencing up--else I'd still be chasing sheep!!!
We also had a problem in that the ballooneers wanted/needed/? sponsors....that was, I believe, something like $250. In addition, the ballooneers were given free or cheap hotel/motel rooms, meals around town, etc. As a part of this $250, the sponsor was supposed to get a free little ride in the balloon.....well, some did.....and a lot didn't....po'd a lot of sponsors off.....in fact, I don't remember if they even had the Balloonfest last year...or if it was scheduled and then cancelled.....I never pay attention because I'm not interested.
That said, they have a program they put on at dusk--Lighting the Balloons or something like that.....it is supposed to be real pretty to see.....as is the early morninig lift off.
I can remember in So-Cal, we had a little dog named Sammie, a doxie, that used to look in the sky a lot--she would bark at airplanes. Well........one time we were all sitting out in the front yard, and had Sammie and Heidi out there with one....and Sammie began growling real low, and gradually brighing it up to a pretty loud growl and then began barking towards down the street....we all turned to see what was bothering her......and this balloon had just cleared the housetops! And she was watching it and raising hall.....as it drew closer, we actually had to cover her head with my husband's short because she wouldn't shut up!
Guess she thought it might get her family, or sumthin'.

Well, I wouldn't have gotten into them if it was just me. My daughter wanted to go one year so I took her. Then I took Tyler a couple of times. Then when I was visiting friends in Georgia a couple of years ago they were going to one in South Carolina and took me with them. That one was really fun. It was later in the day and I was conscious! Besides, there were rides and such too, so there was a lot to do.

There should be so much hell to pay over this mess.....these weren't refunds for a couple of thousand dollars or hundreds of dollars.......an average of $43,000!!! Jeezeuspcristos--it seems like the damn animals are running the farm!
Heaven help the foolish taxpayer who doesn't hold onto a receipt for 7 years for the safety deposit box rent he declares as a deduction!!! Penalty, interest, threats galore abound!! And these friggin idiots that are paid good money can't find their asses with both hands and a magnifying glass!!!!

I think the beauty, or at least part of it, of the early morning risings is the effect provided by the sun newly rising and the balloons going up, too.....a very photogenic time.

Would you mind telling me how to attach digital (some of your stuff must be non-digital also) pics to your posts?
I need a little instruction from your superior knowledge banks.
I'll check back in later.

You have to upload your pictures onto an image surver and post them from there. Valerie does the digital ones. Mine are scanned in, but the process is the same as far as the image server, if that's what you're asking. Valerie, Mo and I all use Fotki upgrade. Not sure what Loddy uses.

Ya know....I guess it is good that the gene pool gets cleansed occasionally.
Here's a tree hugger who is sitting on a plywood platform! DUH! HELLO! Ms. Treesitter, where does plywood come from?
How can you feel sorry for that? Honestly, I can understand how she fell off....I mean she musta thought the law of gravity didn't apply as she attempted to walk on air!

Well there is something to be said for the process of natural selection. God's way of thinning out the herd and weeding out the ones that are too stupid to be allowed to breed.
Too bad there wasn't a major "event" at the DNC convention in 2000.
