To: .38sw
I was afraid if I posted that too openly, I'd get myself banned. Ot that it might be misunderstood.

I was chatting with a guy today from the UK and he asked me how I liked our president. I said that I liked him very much, although I didn't agree with him on some things. He asked me if I didn't think he seemed weak. And I said no, that I just thought he was very cunning. He went on to talk about how their media over there really portrayed him as weak and not caring about things like the environment. I went into a rather elaborate explanation as to why the environazis were not really friends of the environment and how the media bends over backwards to make Bush look bad in any way they can. Well, before it was over I had him agreeing with me about priorities being screwed up and I also debunked his global warming "concern." I wonder if most Brits are that pliable. If so, there is hope. I told him if he wanted a real clue, he'd get his information either here or Free Brittania. He'd never heard of either.
Anyway, I feel like I did my good deed for the day.

Pupster, what is the grim truth about pink flamingos? I still can't get rid of mine. :)

Could it be that IS the grim truth about them. Once they arrive, they never, ever leave. :(
To: teeman8r;Mo1
"damnit " Hehehe...is that another one of those yankee contractions like bitemyass, one of Mo's personal favorites?
To: Mo1
LOL. Scared witless about this Mid East stuff, but... Mo, I sure like your Pope. I've told you that before, but ya know, he really rocks. :)

environazis, good one... did anyone hear of the tree sitter that fell to her death, protecting a grove of trees that had already been spared...
To: sweetliberty
LOL. Yes, you did a very good deed. Bravo. Most Brits want to like us. They have such an outrageously awful tabiloid press over there that it isn't surprising they get a little off track from time to time.

"Could it be that IS the grim truth about them. Once they arrive, they never, ever leave" My grandma never could. Maybe it is a southern rite of passage....once you have passed into the pink flamingo plane, you can never go back. It is a stage of southern maturity, kinda like once you start walking, crawling just doesn't quite get it anymore.
