Well I suppose there is redemption in that. It's their business, not mine. It's simply not appropriate for my family nor was it how i was raised.

It's like calling women "ho's" or "bitches" as though it means nothing...or perhaps the worst and most hypocritical vernacular: "my ni$$a"....it's simply cheapening.

Money doesn't buy class. I doubt Bryan Ferry speaks that way with his kids...

Well i have watched it....and Stern as well at times...but not with my kids....it's like a car wreck...hard not to look. The vile language is for me...sad.

Actually on car wrecks...if they are recent...I usually get out to help.

Right now he is sitting about 2 feet away from, on the bed, stuffing his face full of Sunchips. Getting crumbs all over, no doubt. He says, "hi".

I figured it was something like this.

"I went to da store? WHAT? I went inside.. WHAT? Bought some beer? WHAT? Bought some more beer.. WHAT? Got back in my car? WHAT? Flipped off the democrat? WHAT? Went back home? What? Drank beer? WHAT? Drank more beer? What? Another beer?"

Sounds like "the gimp" from Pulp Fiction.

Let me guess you like buttermilk pancakes?

Am I the only one that can't stand this show? I've seen it a couple of times, and while it's vaguely amusing watching a brain-fried Ozzy, his sailor mouthed wife and his spoiled-rotten kids, I still get the sense that Ozzy is the butt-end of the whole gag. It's not as if we are supposed to laugh along with Ozzy and his family, but at him (and that joke runs it course real fast). Plus, the show has got this whole narcisstic Real World vibe going on which I find particularly loathsome.

And this article has it wrong. Led Zeppelin didn't invent the heavy metal genre. They influenced it, yes, but they didn't invent it. Heavy metal simply did not exist until Black Sabbath came along with their first album. So Ozzy isn't so much the looney uncle of metal, as is he is a co-founder, along with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward.

Watched it a couple of times. Very funny. Love it when Ozzie's wife throws the ham over the fence and then Ozzie breaks a window with something he threw. I feel for the cops.

At him instead of with him? Heck no!

This show is so like my family it's not even funny. Ozzy reminds me of my dad so much. I love the fact that he is a famous musician, yet he and the rest of his family are just normal people like the rest of us. I think the whole thing is great, and it just increases my respect for his music. Talk about the best thing to happen to MTV and television in general in a long time. I hope they release it on DVD after it ends its run :)

Change the channel if you don't like it.

The warden treats her prisoner quite well, thank you very much. ;-) Rumor has it he might consider extending his own sentence to life, no parole.

Exactly, Led Zeppelin was more "heavy" blues than metal early on. Whereas Black Sabbath was something totally different altogether at the time. The Wizard remains one of my all-time favorite songs.

Yup, and MTVX plays rock videos. I was happy to hear that MTV2 still does 120 minutes. I used to love that show, along with Headbanger's Ball. There is a rumor floating around that MTVX may revive the Ball also.
I still have 8-10 hours of Headbanger's Ball video somewhere in the disorganized library I call a house. If it comes back I may have to break down and get a dish.

once-satanic heavy metal star

Never was - take off the foil hat . . .

"Bubbles?!" he hollered indignantly. "Sharon, I'm the Prince of [bleep] Darkness!"

Had me laughing until I cried. If you don't follow Ozzy or his music, you won't really get it.
