...and, while we are on the subject, what church is Jesse Jackson a reverend of? He visited our little island in 1992 on his way back from somewhere at taxpayer's expense, never even went to our church, and tied up ALL of our sat-lines to the US, and all I got was a napkin with "Tom- thanks for keeping hope alive. Jesse Jackson". I have never been, and most likely never will be involved with Bob Hope's healthcare, so what is he trying to insinuate? Gotta wonder...
To: RangeRatt
To be honest .. I'm not sure what church Jesse belongs to ..
But I do know that he didn't "officially" become a Rev. until a few years ago .. I'm thinking it was around 1995
If I recall the story .. he dropped out of school back in the later 60's or early 70's and didn't go back to finish until the 90's
I'll see if I can find that story .. it's late and the mind is foggy

thanks...I'd love to know. He & Sharpton seem to be of a growing number of "Reverends Without Churches"...gee, RWC- you don't think....

it's late and the mind is foggy
Oh, is that the reason??
To: RangeRatt
Ok .. this is what I found .. seems I was wrong on the dates
Jackson received his master of divinity degree from the Chicago Theological Seminary on June 3, 2000. He had been only three courses short of earning his degree when he left the school to work with a minister more than three decades ago.
Jackson, Jesse (Louis)
And I didn't know this .. he was kicked out .. lol
Many observers believe that at this point, Jackson determined to become heir to King's position as the nation's foremost African American leader. In 1971, Jackson was suspended from the SCLC after its leaders claimed that he was using the organization to further his own personal agenda.

Nah, my computer isn't in my bedroom. I got a good night's sleep and did the morning chores.
To: ValerieUSA
Sleep? I thought I had that whipped for a couple of nights....and now its back to being the most 'elusive' commodity I know of!!!
Very, very frustrating....
As for chores.....I've just started the second cup of coffee....another half hour before feeding the pooches, and then we'll see what's on the agenda....at some point, I've got to key in some bookkeeping numbers. :)

I doubt The Calvin Klein has ever been near a bull. Ouch, sorry to hear about Lovett's injury. I like him a lot. Klein is a very common name in the rural areas to the North of Houston. There is even a Klein School district
