It looks good to me. *GUSH*

The current version is easier on the eyes, if you ask me.

I haven't seen in beta where you can search on replies from a user. Is it there and I am just not seeing how to do it?

I think it would be better to have the text of articles, in the teasers, be a smaller font than the title.

I am not finding a way to get "More compression" .
For example , on replies to and from me I just want to see one line and then key on the red to see the ones I have not yet viewed.
It may be there but I have not figured out how to toggle it!
Old eyes perhaps!

The down scroll function jumps too much. Try scrolling down in the beta version versus scrolling down in the old version.

Two things I notice after playing around with it more: One, I have a click-through for mail at the top, and also one to side. Two: (and boy do I like this one!): I can read all the replies that have been made to me......even from deleted threads.

the beta is absolutely
wonderful. great job.
i still ...sniff... miss the css though.

The quick search form is not on top of the thread lists in the beta anymore

My big question is the reincarnation of the "Bump Register" and how that will work!
I think you need to implement the ability to "Add new keywords" pretty quickly after you turn on the whole new system. Otherwise everyone will try to recreate the whole of the items in the Bump Registar as Topics and I think it should be with an interplay between Topics and Keywords!
Anyone else got comments on this ?

WHOA...
Reminds me of the old FR versions I saw in the archives...
It'll take some serious getting-used-to, dude... I have to be brutally honest and say I like the current version alot better but looks like y'all have worked hard on this so I reckon I'll deal, won't I. ;) Maceman is right about the fonts being too big though...

I want something that says "You have mail!" instead of just a little white color change.

my setting is set for "slave," but the thread opens up in the same window in beta...

Preferences, can you seperately select the number of posts to scan and the number of replies on a thread to view?
With a dial up modem it takes to long to load more than fifty replies on a thread but I like to go back several hours (250 posts) looking at old articles that have been posted.

That little Java script window you created to notify when a new reply has been addressed to me only shows the news and activism forum so I probably miss pings to other forums.

I don't know what changed but beta is crashing my Netscape 4.71 browser.
Also the latest posts are not showing up.
Stop feeding the gremlins after midnight. And for God's sake don't take 'em swimming.

Why doesn't it know I'm logged in? Am I going to have to dig up my password? (I suspect the email account I used to register is long gone.)
To: John Robinson
The font on the sidebars(breaking news titles) is hard to read today, very blurry font. Did you change that since yesterday, or am I drinking too early today?
To: John Robinson
The search function in the current version offers searching articles+replies and the beta does not.
