We rarely have need of a moderator, but things could change.
Do we want to grow beyond a single thread at a time? Are we that active? I don't think so now. Do we want to be that active?
Are we a nuisance in the General Interest side?

It sounds like having a Freeople forum might be a bit much - Val, I think you're right, we don't seem to be all THAT busy!

Ditto with MO's remarks about the change proposal for Freepoles... I don't quite understand the suggestion either. When the format changes appear I have a heck of a time finding my way around again and when I finally do.. the news is so dated I can never quite catch up. I am not on the puter as much as I'd like to be so I do a bit of " drive by posting". Guess we need more clairfication about the new thought.

So FReeoples would be in the Sidebar with News/Activism, General Interest etc ? Are those forums going to remain positioned or listed in a sidebar as they are now ? We would in essence monitor our own thread and delete offensive post ourselves ?

I don't think it means having more than one thread. It would put the thread in the sidebar permanently and it seems to me that maybe that would get more people involved which would be nice. I think it's a great idea. I agree that we really haven't had much need for moderators here.

We'd need more than one person to act as a monitor and a few more to fill in when the monitors had to be away. Actually, it might work out very well.

I think by our own FReeople topics he means we could post new threads to fit within our own categories - like for meetings, new photos (hee hee hee), surgery updates - or a prayer topic, a daily discussion thread for this, firearms, cooking, elections, rants, poetry, kids, schools, humor, outrageous news, serial murders in Canada - whatever floats our boats.
