Fugitive hides in creek, dies from the cold
LAKE STEVENS -- It began when Snohomish County sheriff's deputies spotted a man driving a stolen pickup truck. It ended hours later, when the man was plucked from an icy creek, where he had been hiding from police. He died of hypothermia early Saturday.
The King County Medical Examiner's Office last night identified the man as Matthew L. Burke, 29, of Snohomish.
Jan Jorgensen, spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Sheriff's Department, said he was known to deputies and had an extensive criminal record. He had been chased by police at least twice before, she said. Burke pleaded guilty in March 2000 to attempting to elude police. In 1998, he entered a guilty plea to charges of theft and possession of stolen property, and in 1992, he pleaded guilty to residential burglary.
Early Friday evening, sheriff's deputies spotted Burke driving a pickup truck that police say was stolen in Enumclaw.
....Chased on foot by police, Burke disappeared in nearby woods. Dogs were brought in to assist in the hunt, and eventually Burke was found chest-deep in the frigid waters of a creek. "They ordered him to come out," Jorgensen said, "and when there was no response, they went in to find him."
Is it the Police Officers fault that this guy was sooooooooo stupid .. I think not
If the Bush Bashers didn't ALREADY have an ulcer....

I don't know but one thing is certain.... the purpose is to benefit Hillary... no one else but her.
A philosophy professor stood before his class and had some items in front of him. When class began, wordlessly he picked up a large empty jar and proceeded to fill it with rocks right to the top, rocks about 2" in diameter. He then asked the students if the jar was full ? They agreed that it was. So the professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them in to the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles, of course, rolled into the open areas between the rocks. The students laughed. He asked his students again if the jar was full ? They agreed that yes, it was. The professor then picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else.
Mow," said the professor, "I want you to recognize that this is your life."
The rocks are the important things - your family, your partner, your health, your friends - anything that is so important to you that if it were lost, you would be nearly destroyed."
"The pebbles are the other things in life that matter, but on a smaller scale. The pebbles represent things like your job, your house, your car."
"The sand is everything else. The small stuff. If you put the sand or the pebbles into the jar first, there is no room for the rocks. The same goes for your life. If you spend all your energy and time on the small stuff, material things, you will never have room for the things that are truly most important."
"Pay attention to the things that are critical in your life. Take your partner out dancing. Spend time with a cherished friend. There will always be time to go to work, clean the house, give a dinner party and fix the disposal. Take care of the rocks first - the things that really matter."
Set your priorities. The rest is just pebbles and sand. * Good Luck!
Yep I had already heard about this as it was mentioned several times on the threads but it seems many choose to ignore it along with the facts of the entire Bill
But then many also think a "green card" means automatic citizenship ...
