I am a Goldwater republican too, but lots of people have come over later in their lives. People don't get much more conservative than Texas Senator Phill Grahmm, but he first went to congress as a democrat and then changed parties, resigned and ran again and won his seat back as a republican.

You can't hold the past against people who have changed their views unless you want to be in a very small loser party

You wouldn't vote for Phill Grahmm? The only difference between him and the others who have really converted is you liked him before you knew he had been a Democratic legislator

Oh, am I glad I stopped back from that other forum..... I've known for a long time that Phil had been a Democrat....rather than switching horses in midstream, he waited....and then ran as a GOP and won.

As I said, he was never comparable to these two horses' arses. Even Gary Condit, super slime that he is, was never the lippy, mouthy know it all that they attempt to be.

Gene Taylor is a Democrat I halfway respect; David Schippers is a Democrat I highly respect. These two witches--NEVER....they made their bed....let 'em lie in it.....let 'em convert.....let 'em shut their mouths up and just be ordinary people.
