I wouldn't say Geraldo or Hanoi Jane have been converted from their leftist liberal ways. Geraldo's switch to Fox was a matter of economics and shifting viewer trends. He's a survivor. Fonda's never purported to be a conservative convert. She has made the first few faltering steps of what is apt to be a long journey in a conversion of faith and I give her credit for taking those steps. It certainly took her long enough. As for her political leanings I expect she has mellowed some but she's still pretty much the same.

In general folks that are registered Democrats aren't bad people .. they just want what is best .. they want to help fellow americans .. make our schools better .. help the poor

The problem is the Leadership of the Democratic Party .. which may also be the reason why so many are switching parties .. they are starting to see the lying .. and give it a little more time and we get the truth out there .. even more will see the light

Now don't get me wrong .. there will always be those 30% of liberals that no matter what you or I say will not be swayed ..

I can understand a little more fully why y'all [general y'all] think I'm some kind of right wing extremist! LOL! Yepper, I'm a real radical.....believe in that dang Constitution and them Founding Fathers.

My first president vote was cast for Barry Goldwater, a Republican by a Republican; and the last vote cast as a Republican was for the first Bush in what was wind up in his first administration [and only].

I've tried very hard to clear steer from painting with a broad brush....and I'm sure I fail from time to time....I do not believe that all Democrats are bad.

Hanoi Jane has come to grips with mortality. Her (late) mid life crisis has shown her the light at the end of the tunnel. Ted Turner, on the other hand... flipped out and refuses to believe he will ever die!

That is a typical game these people play for effect. One of the settings where I've seen it very pronounced is in certain episodes of "In the Heat of the Night." If it's an episode dealing with racial issues they always make the black actors darker than what they normally are. Despicable ploy really. Way beyond dramatic effect.

Right, I'm sure that had a lot to do with it. No matter what the reason, IMHO, it was her first step in the right direction.

I saw her in an interview on The View .. she is not one bit sorry for what she did .. and until she can admit she was wrong and is truly sorry .. her words me nothing

"Geraldo's switch to Fox was a matter of economics"

That may have been a part of it, but the main reason he did it was to fulfill his own personal fantasy of being war correspondent and being in the middle of the action. He even admitted that.

Sorry.. I only have seen bits and snippets of what she has said over the last ten years, I assumed she repented for her juvinile behaviour 30 years ago...

Following are instructions on the best way to bathe your cat:

1. Thoroughly clean the toilet.

2. Add the required amount of shampoo to the toilet water, and have both lids lifted.

3. Obtain the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.

4. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids
(you may need to stand on the lid so that he cannot escape).
CAUTION: Don't get any part of your body too close to the edge, as his paws will be reaching out to grab anything they can find.
The cat will self-agitate and make ample suds.
Never mind the noises that come from your toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.

5. Flush the toilet 3 or 4 times. This provides a "powerwash and rinse" which I have found to be quite effective.

6. Have someone open the door to the outside and ensure that there are no people between the toilet and the outside door.

7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.

8. The now-clean cat will rocket out of the toilet and run outside where he will dry himself.

Sincerely,
The DOG

LOL....actually, Mo....I'm sitting here laughing at myself....I've been doing some hand gestures, practicing for a certain form of dancing, and it's silly to try to type making these hand gestures.....I am not the most coordinated nor graceful person around....but I'm sitting here practicing---sheet, I can't even remember what they call the hand movements.....'graceful hands'??? Geeze....

Whenever I see this, I always think of the cat we had that slipped into the toilet at the ranch.....would get up on the rim or the seat and play......splashing water with his foot.....well, one time, he let his tail hang down and flicker back and forth and one of the other kittens jumped on it....had to have scared him bad because he flipped/jumped/fell in!!

"...to fulfill his own personal fantasy of being war correspondent and being in the middle of the action. He even admitted that."

sweet, I wouldn't believe him on a stack of Bibles. Geraldo, the phony macho war correspondent, staged his fantasy-come-true for the camera.
