No I read a story about them taking away a baby I belive, from Rosie. The article said that the home was filthy also. I know about the Paula Poundstone thing - not the same thing. Hers was sexual stuff and she blamed it on her alcholism!! But she is a lesbo also isn't she?? But no, the Rosie O'Donnell story was not the same as PP!!

couldn't tell you factually what is in that bill and what is not.

If I understand it, the bill is written so that if parts are found to be UNconstitutional, then the other parts stand. Also, it is 'fast-tracked' by agreement in the Senate for a legal challenge. AND, it goes into effect beginning AFTER this election cycle.

Throw out the UNconstitutional parts, and what is left?? We get a doubling of the Hard Money Individual contribution limit, which is something we CRUSH the Rats at every time.

It also has some provisions for more transparency.

The bigger picture is one in which Bush signs the bill, and it is challenged and weakened, and we get the parts that HELP us. This takes the issue off of their talking points list, and plus, we ALL know that the DemonRats have no intentions of following ANY reform bill at ALL! No way, no how.

If we can take the Senate in November, then we can write a REAL reform bill, and trash this one, or gut it.

They end up in orphanages permanently.

Yes, I know he did say today that he WOULD sign it!! The quote was something like 3 minutes after it hit his desk. The truth is, none of us can FULLY trust what the Supreme Court will do. There are iffy ones on there and it is their votes that make do or die every time.!! Also, if you read that thread that I mentioned, it is the absolute viciousness of the Republicans that feel betrayed that really worries me. Lots of them say no matter what happens, they will not forgive GW for this. and much much more. It is an awful thread to read for sure. Love Lynn

Not many would prefer abortion, but if I've heard correctly for years, there is a HUGE waiting list of couples that have waited years to adopt a baby. And not just a perfect one either.

Ratty, that is my understanding of the bill as well. Also, one important thing the bill will do is force people who fund and support outrageous, deliberately misleading TV and radio ads such as the James Byrd ads to be identified. Right now I'm a heck of alot more interested in electing strong conservative candidates in the House and winning back the Senate. We have to win the Senate with a margin sufficient to maintain the majority when McCain jumps after the upcoming election.

Ratty what you are proposing is a 'PERFECT ' scenario of how you would LIKE things to shake out. But you can't be any more sure of that than any of us can. Lynn
