Remember the sun is still shining,
Though the storms may obscure it from view,

And there's always a light in the heavens,
Though rain clouds may hide that too,

And though we lose sight of the brightness
And shadows may darken our door,

The sun will be there tomorrow,
Shining as bright as before!

Wishing you a bright and sunny day!

I missed a lot of the Oscars last night cuz well,Anne of Green Gables was on the PBS station. So I watched that. I just loved Richard Farsworth ( he's gone now as is Colleen Dewhurst who also was in the movie). But it was just a well done film and I enjoyed it. Then I switched to the Oscars just in time to see some of the UGLY dresses. What was that rag that Gwenth Paltrow was wearing? Oh some of the dresses were nice and most of the men looked pretty good. But the Oscars were pretty gushy.... it is all about self praise anyway. As for the awards... seems they were pretty fairly chosen.

Yes they cut and paste. They just don't ever admit it.

"Got to choose my Easter dress, shoes, bag, and possibly hat, this week."

I'm almost finished with that, girlfriend. :) At least I've got the dress and a hat already. The dress is a simple white linen, fitted sheath, sleeveless, bateau neckline with a large black and white fabric flower on the left shoulder. I have a wide brimmed black hat that I've only worn once before and it works really well with the dress. So, now I just have to find the right shoes and handbag. Probably some new earrings too since I think I may wear my hair up in the hat. LOL.

"The Oscar thread was best thing about the show "

I didn't watch all the Academy Awards show last night but I was pleased with what I did see. It was glamorous once again. By in large the women looked like women and the men didn't. LOL. Hollywood really ought to stick with enterainment and forget the pontificating. Despite not liking or agreeing with most of their politics I gotta say that some of them looked great, a few actually looked like honest to God movie stars of old. Sharon Stone and Halle Berry were both fabulous as was Reese Witherspoon, Renee Zellwegger (sp) and that British actress in red ???? Kate ???? I wish Nicole Kidman had worn a little more color, she looks a little too fragile in really pale pastels. I wasn't especailly crazy about J-Lo's hair and I've seen her in dresses that I like better but the woman has star power. She is polished, she understands glamour and she seems to accept and wear well a responsibility to her fans to look the part of a star.

Too bad that cutie pie Josh Hartnet (sp) (LOL) Tom Cruise and Ben Kingsley chose to ignore the dress code. That's very rude and so very disappointing. BTW, why did Samuel Jackson dress like a chimney sweep ? Has there EVER been a tackier or uglier woman than Whoopi Goldberg ?

Sidney Poitier was as dignified, eloquent and elegant as always. Robert Redford was boring and pompous. He used to be the most beautiful thing on earth. Streisand was simply awful, positively frumpy. What was she wearing, a piano shawl ? LOL. Sting's wife looked like she had wrapped herself in an old quilt top. That lovely Jennifer Connely looked sooo washed out in that dress. Someone should have told her and Jodi Foster to pull the front of their dresses.... AND what happened to Paltrow, didn't she look awful ?

BTW, why did Samuel Jackson dress like a chimney sweep ?

He wore a frock coat Darlin'. There is no more formal attire for a man. It is far dresier than a tailcoat.
