Not a new neighborhood.

Is your phone company also your ISP?? Are they paragons of leading edge technology??

"Maybe by then some "emergency" will arise that requires my attention"

Oh Loddy, you don't mean that! There is nothing quite like a first birthday party. GO. Enjoy yourself.

"I will get to Val directly, anticipation will only whet her appetite."

ROTFL! He really does have an active fantasy life doesn't he? But he slipped up and let on that he really can't handle more than one "?" at a time. What was it again that Ratty tries to handle besides........on my I'm bad! Hehehe.

Yes, I am using Fotki now, and they do keep the pictures up with paid accounts. I'm hoping the company stays up. It's not American. Photopoint went ka-blooey, so it's possible for any of them to do it.

Photo Fun canceled one of my accounts for using it to link images. I don't get it. What is the point of having an image server if you can't use it for the purpose of linking images?

It is not an image server, it is an image storage system. That is a very different thing with a different purpose, even though both store pictures.

Maybe, but it seems pointless to store pictures that you can't use at will.

Sounds like Molly could use some gardening tutorials from Yummie... He can show her how to move those decorative little garden rock around....remember, for Christmas he got a box of rocks ( cuz he won't use a regular litter box). Well he can show her what not to dig up..hehehehe

There are dozens of free Winbloze based web servers you can download. You would have to adjust your firewall program to allow connections on port 80 though. (ONLY port 80)

Don't get your buttons mashed here.

Mostly, you can't run your own webserver without paying extra for a constant address within the local network, but roadrunner now offers a free 'personal web page' on their hardware which will do the Job

That is probably what you want Val... For 10.00 bucks a month, you can get near full service web hosting with unlimited bandwidth. Just upload your pics and link to them.

For prolly $20.00 per month, and a registration fee, you can even get your own domain name. Ask Furious George.

My phone company is NOT my ISP, but they are providing the dsl service through my ISP, which I think I'll switch. I think I'll give earthlink a try. I believe they offer dsl service. The local phone company is SBC, it was Pacific Bell until recently.
