I guess one thing people have to watch for is that they don't get mutton--unless they know what mutton is and like mutton!

My husband loved lamb--until he was served mutton in place of lamb....that did if for him.....even when I had our own sheep slaughtered, he wouldn't eat it.....course, that just made more lamb chops for me!!! Hmmmmmmmmm good!

Virtually all lamb at the stores anymore is imported stuff...I generally will buy 1/2 a lamb from a friend whose still in the business...or will trade something of value for it.

HERE is an editorial cartoon in the Washington Times that is interesting - if any of you paid any attention to the trial of those scumbag lawyers in LA - those two who owned the Pres Canario/mastiff dogs that tore out the woman's throat. Mrs. was convicted of second degree murder for Dianne Whipple's death. The article I was reading said that there is an upswing in ownership of large vicious dogs, many trained to attack. These two lawyers were involved with dirtbag in prison, starting up a business called "Dogs o' War". Just sweet little doggies, to keep in your tiny apartment in San Francisco!

Question, Nully....why would a person want to have two or more mail accounts?

So the ISP's can make more money?

I choose "the roll", for no particular reason.

With sex six you get egg roll...

I have a "throw-away" email account with a fake name on it, that I give out, when I go to news sites and they want you to register, and when I order things on-line, stuff like that. There are lots of sites that offer free email, so it's easy to do.

Bizarre cartoon! Hehehe. When my daughter was little we had a Doberman that was attack trained. One thing a lot of people don't realize is that a well-trained protection dog will never attack unprovoked. Boris (that was his name) never actually used his training throughout his life, but it was comforting to know he wouldn't have hesitated to do so if one of us was threatened. He was very protective of me and particularly of my daughter, but he was gentle as could be and was incredible with children. He'd let a baby crawl all over him and allow kids to pull his ears. He got a little annoyed when one tried to brush his teeth, but he would never have hurt anybody without cause. There was, however, another pup from the same litter that had to be destroyed because his owners had "trained" him by making him mean. Not only were their children at risk from the dog, but eventually he turned on the adults too and they had to get rid of him. He was subsequently shot for viciously attacking another dog. It's all about being responsible and aware. I think these people in California were neither.

Imagine my delightul surprise this morning to find my Tulips pushing up the soil--like a couple of inches worth!! Yikes....they must be in the perfect location with the perfect soil mix!

I hadn't even planned to bring those bulbs with me from the ranch....but that little Welsh Corgi of mine pulled a "Molly", so I brought a bunch of them. They are the brightest reds and yellows! Just stunning when the sun hits them....the building they are along side is slightly offwhite--a pale, pale grey....so they really grab the eye!

These people from California were certianly not responsible, but I think they were aware. They were completely without remorse, and in fact, went on a major "blame the victim" campaign after Whipple's death. They were in front of TV cameras and writing letters to the prosecutor, stating things like Whipple may have been using a pheromon-based perfume, or on steroids, and she should have just gone into her apartment and shut the door, she was "acting agrresively" toward the dogs, like staring right at them and wallking toward them. Just despicable people.

too bad you can't get up here when we plug a well we're requesting funds for, it caught on fire when the drilling rig was on it, burnt the rig to the ground.....it's been plugged but it's leaking gas, so we're gonna have to re-enter it and replug it.....

I wouldn't do that on Adair...

Speaking of Dobies....I had a friend who was a lobbyist in Helena, MT, who had a female named Rainey. When I worked for the state Senate, I rented a room from Vera and Julie. I very quickly made friends with Rainey by sharing some Vanilla Wafers with her....bless her heart--truly.

The landlord was a liberal [had to be based on his behaviour]. It appears he had a way of using his master key to just go into the various properties he rented/leased out without announcing himself or advised in advance.

One Sunday afternoon [none of us had gone back to our home homes that weekend as was normal], we were sitting in the kitchen doing something and suddenly Rainey raised some hair on the back of her neck and she silently headed into the living room; jumped on the sofa, and placed her nose right by the door--with mouth opened exhibiting her little 'fangs'.....suddenly the door started to open and she snarled and the door slammed shut! She wanted to eat the wood!! I had seen this from the position my chair was in--I ran in and calmed her down.

In just minutes the landlord was on the phone wanting to know why we were 'home' on a Sunday.....Vera like to have tore him a new one. He started to bitch about the 'dog' and not authorized, yada yada....and she set him straight on that, too.

We never had another problem.....believe me, I felt a lot safer with Rainey around....sharing my 'nilla wafers was a cheap price to be able to sleep comfortably and relaxed.

Wasn't that the weirdest thing? Tuning in to watch the world series and see an earthquake happen right at that very moment! Spooky!

What was spooky was watching the corridor at work twist with the earthquake...

the freeway overpasses and other repairs were made very quickly. A lot of this was politics - the politicians from southern california have more juice than the ones from the bay area

More to the point the people and politicians in southern California LIKE freeways. The Yoghurt and granola eaters in the Bay Area HATE freeways and cars...

A bit better today. I have a sore throat from ear to ear. I feels like someone threaded one of those wire camp saws through my ears.

The kids haven't started in on each other yet, so I assume they are feeling better.

Katie even fixed Daniel and me scrambled eggs. (which, like ALL breakfast foods, she loathes)
