Mine are Brigadoon, 1776, Guys and Dolls, The Fantasticks, and Les Mis.

Haven't been able to see "Ragtime" but love the music.

Detest Annie.

Had my fill of Rodgers & Hammerstein.

Brigadoon, 1776, and My Fair Lady are the only musicals I can stand. I hate that sort of thing - but for some reason these three are different. 1776 is obvious; it's very patriotic and the songs are great. My Fair Lady I like because of the music, and because I like the story, but it does drag on now and then between songs.

Oh, bad image - just had a vision of the Hobbits performing the "Go Home with bonnie Jean" number out of Brigadoon....

Ragtime was wonderful. I saw it on Broadway with Brian Stokes Mitchell. Fabulous! I have seen Les Miz more times than I count. I was fortunate to see the original cast on Broadway, so that meant I saw Colm Wilkinson as Jean Valjean.

Don't really like Andrew Lloyd Webber that much.

Sondheim, of course, is a genius! I love what he does.

Last musical I saw was The Scarlet Pimpernel.

I will tell you a funny Annie story. Saw the National Touring Company, so my Annie was excellent. Anyway, I worked for the Reagan campaign in 1980... and going into the election, the pundits were predicting that the election would be close. They were even saying that Carter might win.

Anyway, the night before the election, I went to see Annie. In Annie, Daddy Warbucks has invited Roosevelt to his house for dinner. And Warbucks says... "Democrats, democrats, what does one feed a democrat?"

The musical came to a stop while the audience hooted and hollared and clapped in appreciation. That was the first time I could relax... I thought, perhaps, Reagan would win.
