Just to interrupt with a question. Does anyone know if the next films will follow the book format or go chronologically from one group of characters to another? By book format I mean follow the adventures of what is left of the fellowship then go back and follow Frodo and Sam from when they crossed the lake.

From the spoilers I've read, they'll be switching between the three different storylines fairly frequently. I guess that means it will be mostly chronologically. They apparently aren't going to make us wait as long to find Frodo and Sam as Tolkien did. ;)

It's going to switch back and forth between characters, not like in the books. Stupid short attention spans! JK - it makes lots of sense to do it this way.

I am not sure we have heard the answer!... and I have wondered myself... I bet it jumps back and forth between stories.. (chronological)
