Hi, gang. Can't really stick around, but I wanted to make a [selfish] request for prayers.

I was just laid off.

I kinda knew it might happen and didn't think it would upset me, but it's not as easy as I thought...I've worked there for three years, after all, and count pretty much everyone there as a friend. Starting over won't be easy, and with the job market the way it is...it's going to be rough to find anything, let alone anything at a place with an atmosphere like my current (OK, former) company.

In short, I'm feeling very down at the moment, to say the least.

Prayers have already been sent from here in Miami that the Lord will open doors and make straight the path to your new job, that will be both financially and emotionally rewarding for you. :)

Sometimes the end of one good thing is the beginning of another BETTER thing. It's just hard to see it right now.

I don't think it's a selfish request. My husband has been there before, so I can understand. I know that God will provide the right job at the right time. He did for my husband. Good luck, and we'll be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
