Good Morning, all!
It's still morning where I'm at, anyway...Hope you all have a great day!

Screw with the U.S. and you're cockroach food. My wife and I call it the "Godzilla Response"... mess with Godzilla and he stomps you flat, or breathes radioactive fire on you.
Good enough for Godzilla, good enough for us, IMHO.

Good morning. Just got phone service back, a neighbor down the street ran over the phone line with his lawnmower last night.

Just got phone service back, a neighbor down the street ran over the phone line with his lawnmower last night. There's one in every neighborhood. Was he mowing at night?
I had a neighbor that used to do that. When we first moved in next door, I only saw him after dark mowing or raking leaves under his security spotlights.
I was convinced he was a vampire cause he was never out during the day. But I later found out he worked two jobs.
To: Corin Stormhands
No, about 6 pm, he's a nice guy, very bright, but with something missing...I think that's a criteria to live on this street, the something missing part, I mean.
I didn't figure out what happened 'til this am, though.

Hey, life is dull if everyone is "normal."
To: Corin Stormhands
Yes, I like all my weird neighbors, a couple of them are very artistic. I'm not too sure that I'd take it as a compliment to be called "normal," anyway...

Good fences make good neighbors - and forty foot walls, covered in spikes and electrified, make better ones!

Moats with sharks are always helpful too...
To: Corin Stormhands
Or large vicious guard dogs! (I'm not a people person, and our neighbors are nuts)

You guys sound like you could live on this street...Actually, for awhile, I considered naming my boat the "Misanthrope."
To: Sam Cree
I don't hate people.... I just don't really like them that much. Or want them around, most of the time. The Internet is different, there's a layer of protection between you and the person you're talking to.

I considered naming my boat the "Misanthrope."LOL! I prefer to think of myself as a "curmudgeon." ;)

You guys sound like you could live on this street... Nah, I like my neighbors. I just hate living between two perfect lawns. Although with the clover in bloom, mine is at least green.
I need some of our gardners here to come over...
To: Corin Stormhands
Hmmm... my philosophy is, a lawn should provide cover for if I ever have to sneak out under a hail of bullets. And my dad's is that it's worth the money to hire someone to cut it. We're happy here, whatever the grass length!

I just never realized growing up as a kid that you had to
work to make grass grow. We never seeded, never fertilized our yards and they were beautiful and needed mowing more often than I cared for.
As a side story, my dad actually was mowing one night and ran over his foot. There was no permanent damage. Let's just say he and the mower were sufficiently lubricated...
To: Corin Stormhands
We do nothing to our lawn. It looks fine. Of course, we have no neighbors directly next to us on either side, just woods and a big weed field, so it would look good be comparison anyway. Glad I don't live somewhere that would require actual lawn labor!

I took care of a guy that ran over a screw driver with his push mower and shot it straight through his boot and foot and everything.

Ouch!
