I just never realized growing up as a kid that you had to work to make grass grow. We never seeded, never fertilized our yards and they were beautiful and needed mowing more often than I cared for.

As a side story, my dad actually was mowing one night and ran over his foot. There was no permanent damage. Let's just say he and the mower were sufficiently lubricated...

We do nothing to our lawn. It looks fine. Of course, we have no neighbors directly next to us on either side, just woods and a big weed field, so it would look good be comparison anyway. Glad I don't live somewhere that would require actual lawn labor!

I took care of a guy that ran over a screw driver with his push mower and shot it straight through his boot and foot and everything.
