The honor system? 2JM are you older than you look?
I mean that in the kindest way, but the honor system?

BBQ a cabrito! Is cabrito (goat) meat good? I can get it here, because there are a large number of Jamaicans and other Carribean groceries in my area, and they all advertise goat meat. Beats cutting up bunny rabbits anyhow!

2JM are you older than you look? For a dwarf, you ask the dumbest questions, Corin. I learned years ago that any questions or guesses about woman's age will get you a quick trip to the crack in Mt. Doom!

That's another nice thing about Middle Earth; the best looking women are over 1000 years old!

we're going out tonight (Italian) My daughter and I just got back from the cheap seats theater seeing FoTR for the 5th time; TTT trailer and all!!! It was great!! I can't wait til August. We just realized that the DVD will be out before we go on our vacation to Wyoming!! If the house we rent doesn't have a DVD player, we'll all just crowd around Sir SuziQ's laptop!!
And I didn't have to fix supper because #2 son is doing stir fry tonight!! He loves to cook (takes after me), and likes being home and having a big kitchen to work in. But he and some friends are renting a house in Pittsburgh for the next school year, so he's looking forward to cooking meals for the gang! He's such a great guy!

The honor system? 2JM are you older than you look?LOL! Well, I'm almost 40, but this was (amazingly) just during the early 90s, probably around '93.
They still sell honey and veggies by the honor system here in Oklahoma out in the country. You just see a stand out at the end of someone's drive with a shoe box or something. And does anybody know if they still have the little booths along the side of the road in Tyler that sells a dozen roses for a couple of bucks or so a bunch? My hubby used to pick me up a couple of those a week, when we lived there.

Retiring early here. Wake me when the nuclear war starts. Goodnight.

Cabrito is only the kid, I think. Hair had a bit of trouble eating rabbit because it looked like a cat, once it was skinned. Well, a cabrito looks about like what I'd think a medium size dog would look like skinned! But it's extremely tender and tasty. I have never had veal, but I would imagine along those lines. Another thing, these were from farm raised nanny goats who's main purpose was milk production...the kids were very healthy, just not needed.

Good evening! Back from a long day... see we had a mini religious war - Arminian and Catholic friends, Penny and I will assure you that not all Calvinists are wackos, or nasty, or orc-like. (In fact the nasty Calvinists are in about the same proportions as the nasty Arminianists or the nasty Catholics. We just admit our depravity a little more ;-))
So what else is up? Did the "no more sneaking the zeros" get through to the sneaks?

Just about any little critter makes you hungry doesn't it? hehehe
Good evening all... Hobbit Hair was busy today!

I posted a long sermon about the Christian infighting on FR and then deleted the whole thing! At least I felt better to write it. I have been smart enough to avoid the holy wars this long, I see no reason to change my strategy.

Good plan, good plan. Yell at us if you must, avoid the Crusades!
Now I'm happy - new Ender book coming out in August! please tell me some of you people have read the Ender books?

Yes...I like to eat. I love the festivity that goes with bar-b-queing and cooking out.
We have huge breakfasts too...my husband has a gigantic griddle and we cook up pancakes and eggs and bacon, with all the stuff that goes along with it. We have my parents over or friends and just pig out on breakfast!
To: 2Jedismom
Well, I love to eat too, but doesn't mean baby goats and bunny rabbits make me hungry! Give me a standard steak, from a cow, thank you. hehehe

new Ender book coming out in August! What are the Ender books?
To: Overtaxed
Ahhhh, someone brave enough to ask! I've been wondering too, lol....
To: JenB
I've read most of them. Liked the first one quite a bit, the 2nd was Ok, but the 3rd kind of lost me, so I gave up on them 'til this year when my son insisted I read Ender's Shadow which I thought was very good.
There's an interesting thread in News Activism titled "The Real History of the Crusades" BTW.
To: Penny1
Never heard of 'em!
