One of my favorite parts in TTT is where Smeagol has come to the forbidden pool and has caught a couple of fish. When he is captured, he never lets go of them. Then, he just gives then back to Faramir... "don't want fish!"

No, because then they may come over to see what is happening and then the Preciouss could fall into the hands of a dwarf, or *shudder* into the hands of those tricksy hobbitsses.
