It was only a five-post sneak! Hardly worth mentioning after that... embarrassment the other day. Honestly!

No, it's all black and white. I'm ok, they aren't. ;-)

because the accents are sometimes pretty thick and some of the figures of speech are not familiar.

We saw the series when it was first run on PBS many moons ago. It took us several episodes, then reading the books as well to figure out the Yorkshire accents and speech patterns! They are a hoot; I've had to translate for our daughter who was having real difficulty keeping up with what they were saying!!

Where's the dot in the black for a certain nameless sneak who stole Rosie's Birthday Precious?

Down, down, down into darkness...

You never know what you'll find online. Right now I'm visiting a site with really bad baby names. Quite amusing, but I was really looking for a good source of fantasy names and I can't perpetrate Kellyna Nychole, Severin Anderson, or Kaylee Madicyn on a character...

How about Frank? Bob? Mort?

Nice short names are good for calling for help. I would hate to have to say "Save Me Kellyna Nychole!" if every second counted.

Look, even my normal-earth-person has an odd name. I think one character may have a normal name. And if I do the space opera universe everyone has normal names. (Empress Caroline, Lord Andrew, Galactic Overlord Bob, names like that).

You'll find one that fits, I am sure. I still like Hank the Freedom-Fighter chick.

Maybe Hank is just a nickname.... short for Hallienne...

I kind of like "Severin Anderson"... mind if I borrow it?

Good afternoon! Enjoying a quiet, rainy day at home here... thinking about my story and doing a little web-doodling.

As I looked at my story outline, I realized I didn't have enough story for 50,000 words, so I've had to add to it! I hope it doesn't turn out completely boring....

I'm envious!

Hope you have a great time... bet it will seem quite different seeing The Movie on a big screen again, with a fancy sound system....

Yes, we will report back on the movie viewing!... I will let you know if the black riders really run through the middle of the room in surround sound!

Let me know how it's going, then! I'm working at mine; I think I figured out a rationale for why this whole thing starts (rather than just "because" or throwing in some predistination thing)

I think I have a bit of a head-start actually... this is a story I've been thinking about for a long time. I already had the characters worked out, and a plot outline. But as I thought about it this morning, I realized that the story was too short. The outline, as far as it went, was fine, so I spent some time today adding on to it. Which worked out well because the scenes that I've been running through my mind recently were past the end of my old outline.

Have I mentioned that this story is the first of a series I've been wanting to do?
