The Hole is quiet! I am eating dinner and considering an early bed-time. I don't even feel very interesting! Have anything interesting happening on your side of town?

Well, considering how many rude men there are, it's nice to have a few nice ones around now and then.

My wife is off playing with the gal-friends. And I'm on my own at the keyboard (with very Celtic sounding Jethro Tull in the background). Taking care of dogs, feeding myself etc. Footloose and fancy free. Sort of.

Ooooh. You're a sweet-talker too!!!
I feel Aragorn like already!
Which is pretty good for an Elf.

I think our men of the hobbit hole are the nicest men on Free Republic or anywhere!

No, I've never seen that before. Zeppelin eh?
Did you know Ian Anderson keeps (and contributes generously to groups that help) endangered wild cats??
To: JenB
Well, yeah.... I know. It works out that way alot
To: JenB
Well, I've got a Free Republic kind-of-gal (for 22 years now), but if I didn't you guys would be the kind that would first on the list!
To: HairOfTheDog
Yes, yes. Well... hate to say it but I have to go to bed. See you tomorrow, I hope, if I'm not snowed under with chores all day.

Like big cats? - No - I didn't know that!
To: JenB
I'll be around for the early part of the day, then Penny and I will be movie watching at my brother's house for the evening!
To: HairOfTheDog
Yeah, wild cats, South American kind and even those that are close to house-cat size. His Jethro Tull website (J-Tull.com) has links to his wild cat support groups. They do a helluva lot of good with these endangered cats. It's worth a look.
And besides, there's no music anything like Tull!
To: Scott from the Left Coast
Cool.... I will check it out!

Wife is busy making MP3s with her new 'puter... currently listening to the MP3 of "Sing, Sing, Sing" by the Benny Goodman Orchestra, from the Live at Carnegie Hall performance...
I defy anyone to keep still while listening to it!

Benny Goodman was one of my dad's favorites (damn, how I miss him). I love the music.
I'm listening to Jethro Tull right now (think Chieftains with a little touch of The Who), very different from that, but then I'm eclectic in my tastes!
