No, definitely not.
;-)
Oh, stop me, I'm cracking myself up here.....
I didn't know Tulsa was so.....so......remote. Did the wagon train just pull into town or something?
Must be some elf on the right....he's wearing girly armor. :)
I called EVERYWHERE! Walmart, ToysRUs...K-Mart (didn't have much hope for K-mart, but had to try.) When the lady at Target said "We only have two left." I almost screamed "Put my name on it!!" She did and put it up at the service desk and I picked it up a little while later.
Oh, I don't know...you know how some of those kids dress these days!
My cartoonist brother actually did a cartoon on this subject: a picture of an orc labeled "A modern day orc" and next to it a picture of a kid with multiple piercings, strange clothes, spiked hair, etc. labeled "A modern day highschooler". Underneath it says, "Not much difference, is there?"
Not that all kids are like that, but there are certainly some orc-ish types!
It's funny that Rosie called it Tarzhay because that's what we call it, too. Sometimes we call it Tarzhay Boutique.
Before the movie came out, they had every single action figure. I should have snapped them all up. After the movie came out, I've only been able to get Gimli, Frodo, and Saruman. (Could've got Lurtz, too, but didn't want to). I will be checking the shelves frequently pre-TTT to make sure I don't miss something.....
Too true, too true, more's the pity. I can't abide the extreme piercing. I hope it is a fad that will die out soon....
That wasn't me...we don't have any such thing up our way. :-( Actually, we have ZERO department type stores in town now that Ames is going out of business. If I want to get anything besides books, hardware and pet foods, I have to drive over to NH to the Walmart about 45 min.-1 hr. away. And that Walmart has NO LOTR stuff at all.
It looks to me like it has a stump for a left arm. If so, that is some originality to create a fighter who is obviously battle worn. It sure gives some 'authenticity' to the characters, doesn't it?
WHAT!
That's sacreligious (sp?)!
45 minutes to get to a Wal Mart? Wow! You are remote.... I have a Wal Mart and 3 Targets within 10 minutes drive....
Sorry, 2JM, I just walked into Tarzhay this morning and got one of them! I looked in the gift aisle, and didn't see it, so as I was leaving the store, I stopped by Customer Service. The lady called to one of the stock guys and asked him if they had them. He checked in the toy aisle, found it there and brought it up to the front for me. It's make by Parker Brothers, by the way. It looks like a neat set!
Yes, the creators and PJ are doing a fabulous job on that account.
This orc looks very authentic indeed, and very angry, too. He looks like he really has an axe to grind, or would have if he had an axe;^)
I think Gimli has one in mind for him....
