A lot of Savannah cats (African Serval/Domestic cat hybrid) love water.
Exactly... cats are clean they say... they just lick their azz, shxt and piss in your house in a box and walk all over your counters, tables... and basically everywhere.
PROVE ME WRONG
I live in the woods... we have a Bobcat that we catch on the trail cams every once in awhile. I tell my kids and grandkids it’s the perfect cat to have, his name is Bob, shxts and pisses outdoors, never have to feed it or clean up after it and we see it occasionally.
I’ll take a dog any day and I’d never take it to a restaurant, grocery shopping, department store, hardware store etc. They belong home.. protecting it and I’m not talking want-to-be dogs that are basically cats that bark. I’m talking a real dog that needs to be at least knee high and preferably waist high.
we had a sheepdog that liked to eat her own frozen poop- yeah, she was mental- she threw up a whole pair of long underwear once- I hope no one was attached to them lol
Zara, the Savannah cat looks completely at peace.
It there was a Spa for felines, there would need to be
a Pool Room, and I don’t mean Billiards.
I had a kitten once who was terrified of water. If I took a bath, the cat would get up on the ledge of the tub, take hold of my arm with his mouth, and try to pull me out.
I guess he thought I was insane to be in there.
Lol! My brother had a Doberman. Great dog -— mild as milk and loyal as a bulldog. One day my mom was making dinner for my brother, and she noticed something sticking out of the dog’s rear end. On further examination, she discovered it was some kind of cloth. Being alarmed, she thought she had better pull it out. She pulled and pulled, finally removing it completely. It was one of her aprons!
Sometimes, Cats can be as openly protective of their owners as Dogs. Not always the detached and passive, observer.
I guess he thought:
“There’s no need to fear, the Cat Calvary is here!”
Our two cats left us last year. Charlie’s been gone exactly 1 year and 1 week. Gosh, I miss them….😿
My condolences. I still haven’t gotten over losing our Charlie.
We have two over spoiled Maine Coons who run the house. Their mom died of Bobcat fever and we have raised them since before their eyes were open. Then there is JR who was a stray we took in. He lives in the garage and outside. Found him skinny and sick as his paws were so raw he could barely walk. Recovered now and sleeps with the two chihuahuas .
The best cure for the sadness of losing a cat is to get another one.
We lost 6 over the last 8 years. Two remain and we are afraid they won’t be with us much longer. Old and arthritic, and seem to be in pain. Got Solensia shots on Friday, an and maybe that will help.
Our Maine coon liked the water.
I’m not much of a cat person.
I saw The Incredible Shrinking Man. yikes!
I have one now who seems to play in his water fountain more than he drinks from it - he’s always wet.
Cats are all different.
