A viral video captured an Arizona college cheerleader being violently slammed to the ground and pummeled on top of a bicycle by cops after she allegedly interfered with an arrest.
Arizona State University senior Eryn Bonner was hit with two misdemeanor charges last week in Tempe after a harrowing video captured cops allegedly leaving her covered in bruises during an arrest in July, according to the Tempe Police Department and ABC15.
Bonner, a member of the ASU Stunt team, was seen in the early morning of July 19, reapproaching officers who were arresting another individual after being told to get back.
“Let him go, let him go,” Bonner could be heard screaming before the altercation unfolded.
The college student was then pushed to the ground by a cop, the clip shows.
Tempe police allege that Bonner punched an officer multiple times, the outlet reported.
The clip, including bodycam footage from the arrest, shows the officer then toss her onto a bicycle and restrain her — appearing to punch her before another officer swoops in to cuff her.
The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office has declined to pursue felony charges against Bonner, and cops told the outlet that they would not resubmit the felony charges.

If they are attending ASU, I certainly hope they are expelled from the university. They and their violent tendencies are a danger to other students.
There was some warning at the start of the video about “distressing content”. Can someone tell me where it was? I seem to have overlooked it.
She was wanting to be ready for action, but she didn’t plan on this kind of action!
Interfered with an arrest, refused a lawful order to step back multiple times. Then physically attacked a policeman on camera after the cop had pushed her back for the previous things.
Then she was hit and wrestled to the ground, cuffed and arrested.
I see no issue here with anything the police did.
Just MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS
"...as she tried to stop an arrest"
Don't do that, and you won't get 'pummeled'
Unrelated, the Memphis police swarmed a residence on our street to arrest two yoots for very violent assault charges. They are 6'2" plus, and go three hundred pounds each.
Now related, out trots my USAID neighbor with her smart phone, whistle, air horn, and face shield, and begins shouting "No justice, no peace!" She got in the faces of the police. The parents of the yoots told her to "STFU and go back inside, mind your own business".
What she didn't know was the parents had called the police to arrange for the safe arrest and processing of their yoots children. Their size can be quite intimidating and they were doing things the right way in the matter. There were warrants out for their capture.
typical emotive, narrative-driven yellow journalism
The event wasn’t on campus, it wasn’t in a classroom, it wasn’t on the sideline of a football field. Her status as a “student” and “cheerleader” are absolutely irrelevant to the case at hand.
Another shining example of mess around and find out.
But... but... but.... I’M ONE PERSON!
Actually, “one person guy” looks like he was trying to stop his thug buddy from jumping the white guy, no?
“I will also point out her man was obviusly harassing and threatening a white guy. ...”
Then you need to look more carefully at the video.
“Her man” was trying to restrain the guy who actually *was* trying to get physical with the white guy.
The fact that “her man” would later not follow police instructions doesn’t change the fact that he wasn’t the initial aggressor on the white guy.
The internets are a powerful tool. BTW, I’m slowly becoming a YouTube lawyer.
When police say ‘stand back,’ these states say how far

She may be a dumbass , but she has plenty of sass. You have to give her that.
Handful of State laws, then ... I note from the article that Arizona’s “8 feet” law was declared unconstitutional.
I observe, BTW, that governments love government-controlled cameras pointed at Citizens, but governments hate Citizen-controlled cameras pointed at Government.
I’ve got an idea. Don’t take on the cops or try to interfere with them when they’re arresting a violent suspect.
If you do, you get what you get.

"She" instead of "He"...
Unfortunately, you are correct!
If you possess even the most rudimentary survival instincts you would know not to mess with the cops. 🙄
My God...that is a HILARIOUS story! I can just see that AWFL “bigwig” storming out of her house in her liberal battle gear to go toe-to-toe with the cops...then being told to SCRAM by the yutes parents! LOL.
