The slippery-slope is nearing the bottom now.
The City of Seattle wants to keep employers, businesses, and private citizens from discriminating against people who like to sleep around and/or identify as an infinite list of genders.

Notice how "male and female" has now been struck from the municipal code altogether.
The law will "recognize genders outside the gender binary, recognize pansexuality and asexuality as orientations, and include consensual relationships with multiple partners as an element of attitudes, preferences, and practices pertaining to sexual orientation."
This idea of normalizing multiple partners is a growing movement on the Left.

It's the same group of cities that started okaying gay marriage leading up to the Supreme Court's decision in Obergefell v Hodges forcing all the states to accept the abominable practice.
Now, the same thing is happing with polyamorous relationships.
In 2022, a New York judge used Obergefell v Hodges to rule in favor of a throuple in a housing dispute.

The restaurant we eat at every Friday evening here in Kumamoto , Japan is run by a family . It’s a sushi / izakaya . shokudo restaurant . Family consists of father ( sushi chef ) , son # 1 in kitchen , son # 2 sushi/etc.. , mother who takes and brings orders , wives of sons who also take and bring orders + work in kitchen sometimes , and recently the grand-daughter has been helping out as well . We love the place . Never eat at chain shops . The other restaurants we eat at ( rotating schedule hehe ) are all run by families , too , with the occasional part-time help . And we rarely pay over $ 40 for dinner/drinks for the two of us . No tipping in Japan either , although I’d like to at these places .
Why in tarnation did he ever get married in the first place?!

I made it to Tokyo an the early 2000s. That is sort of the way I remember it when we went out to eat.

Sadly , independent restaurants are closing at record rates and corporate chains are expanding rapidly. I shall support indies until my dying day .
It would have made more sense to employ a once-a-week cleaning service, a laundry service, etc.
As for the meals: Swanson's TV dinners, Top Ramen noodles, or take-out.

If a man comes to a psychiatrist and claims to be George Washington, Julius Caesar, or Jesus Christ, the psychiatrist will make every effort possible to restore the patient to sanity so that he no longer suffers from these delusions. He won't humor their delusions by helping them pretend to be Washington, Caesar, or Jesus.
In contrast, if the same man comes into the shrink's office and says that he's really a woman, rather than doing the rational thing and doing his best to convince the poor loon that he in fact is not a woman, the shrink is supposed to indulge the patient's delusion, i.e. out come the scissors and the silicon implants, and the injection of estrogen.
Why the difference?
An inordinate number of psychiatrists went into the profession because of their own mental illnesses.
