Hayden Panettiere died after taking just one pill that is believed to have been oxycodone laced with fentanyl, it was reported Monday as cops are said to be “zeroing in” on her alleged dealer.
The actress appears to have met with her “long-term drug dealer” in Los Angeles before flying to South Carolina, where she died of a suspected overdose on Aug. 16, just before her 37th birthday, multiple law enforcement sources connected to the case told TMZ.
The mom appears to have taken one pill the day she died, but it was fatal because it was laced with fentanyl, the sources said of the opioid 50 times stronger than heroin.
Panettiere died from a suspected overdose but the authorities have not released her exact cause of death. They warned toxicology results could take up to 12 weeks.
The development comes amid reports that the authorities were “zeroing in on a potential drug dealer” in the case.
Drug Enforcement Administration officials in Los Angeles and South Carolina are investigating, according to TMZ.
Panettiere’s abusive on-off ex, Brian Hickerson — who was with her on the flight and the South Carolina apartment where she died — has already met with DEA officials, according to reports.
It’s not known what Hickerson revealed to law enforcement officials but he previously told police Panettiere had a “bag of medication” with her.
The drugs Panettiere was reportedly taking were redacted in the Greenville City Police, although there were nine different types.
Panettiere, who was best known for her roles in “Heroes” and “Nashville,” had been open about her battles with addiction in her memoir, “This is Me: A Reckoning,” which was published just three months before her death.

I have to get them done periodically and they have the results before the hour is up, infact I thinks it’s almost 8mmediate. Interestingly, one that showed pot- and I do not do,pot at all- but did it in my 20’s. can’t stand the stuff (there are 2 types of pot smokers, those that smoke and enjoy it, and those that get super paranoid at the slightest amount- I’m in the second category, paranoid about really stupid stuff too, like “oh no I’m parked at a suspicious angle, someone will call the cops”, just really stupid stuff like that lol- never could get used 5o the stinking stuff.
Anyway, doc said I probably walked past someone smoking it at some point, though I didn’t smell it. It’s legal in my state unfortunately
Yep... so many families devastated by deaths of loved ones- can’t imagine being a parent, or even sibling or uncle or whatever and getting the news.
And probably snorted it since the goal was not pain management but to get high.
Drug addiction usually kills off logic processing in our brains. I don’t expect drug abusers(includes alcohol) to oftentimes change their behaviours due to them understanding the consequences of their drug use.
Fentanyl was the only thing that would take away my headache ( a headache so intense I thought I was going to die of a heart attack) after brain surgery. It took 3 doses in the IV.
The larger issue is, and one that no one seems to discuss, is that Panettiere was yet one more in a long list of attractive female stars who was abused as a child and then saw their life spiral down into addictions and serious mental health trauma. The list is very long, and I would submit that almost every single female actress has been sexually abused and have subsequently had to deal that trauma to one degree of success or another, but addiction and serious mental health impairment is almost always a byproduct.

Similar to the Modeling Industry. Looks are fleeting. Not to make light of it, BUT every mother who gets their CHILD involved in the entertainment or modeling industry typically leads to tragedy. Yet, there are still many willing to give up their children for the one in a million chance to be a star(briefly).
As you point out the list of child actors/actresses that end up dying young is very long. People like Brittney Spears are the norm.
That is why the title of the Jim Morrison’s biography was “No One Here Gets Out Alive” or the Margot Robbie movie that came out of few years ago was called “Babylon”.
That is also why it is incredible when someone like Mick Jagger is still preforming at 83. Or Clint Eastwood is still directing into his 90s.
I recently heard about yet another drug that is even more potent than fentanyl. Don’t immediately recall the name at the moment.
I believe it to be a weapon of war created by our enemies, being pushed on purpose to destroy us.
Imagine something so deadly one day, just touching the wrong thing could be fatal. What a way for a murderer to create an alibi.

65 grains per milligram. 2mg = 130 grains. Dope dealers are not the best at pharmaceutical calculations and thus kill people by accident and on occasion with intent.

Most men who are super active, like a rock star, in their seventies are going to be rail thin. The “big boned” demographic doesn’t live that long.
