The holdout juror who caused Lindsay Clancy’s mistrial has a history of alleged domestic violence such as grabbing his wife by the throat and punching his nephew, according to a report.
The still-unnamed juror, only described as a black man in his 30s, faced a criminal charge in September 2021 for allegedly assaulting his wife, NBC10 Boston reported.
A 13-year-old nephew of the man called 911, stating that his uncle grabbed his wife by the throat and threw her into a dresser, according to a police report obtained by the outlet.
The juror’s own mom repeatedly screamed, “You’re evil!” as he was cuffed during the incident, the report said.
The juror recently ended up singlehandedly thwarting a verdict in Clancy’s sensational trial by refusing to agree with the 11 other jurors who found her not guilty by reason of temporary insanity after she fatally strangled her three young children in the family’s Duxbury, Mass., home.
A juror questionnaire in Massachusetts asks whether someone has been arrested, charged with a crime, or been served with a court order — all boxes that the holdout juror should have checked.

This is a great example of the mentality of liberals in an overwhelmingly liberal state.

One thing that strikes me is that jurors should shut up, not appear on broadcast t.v. Serving as a juror is serious business, not an audition for something else. As you serve as a juror, you take your responsibility seriously. You commence as a juror, act as a juror, and then return to normal life with jury duty secured in the past.
Jurors should be permitted their privacy. They should not be rewarded or punished by the press and mob public.
When they agree with you, or what you did / claim, they give you all the credibility on earth. When the media likes what they hear, you can have a “whack-job” that makes allegations of Trump groping her 25 years ago get accepted as the truth. Until an actual eye witness of the event on the airplane steps forward and gives an entirely different account.
But if they don't like you or what you did, then they dig into your past like this juror and blast it out to the public... Basically smearing this jurors reputation and hurting him.

You can say, over the thumb, 4/5ths of the US media is pro-Democrat and more left ideologically.
There is a serious lack of professional standards and objective / neutral reporting is no longer. Today the news media caters to their readers and what they want to hear. They have a highly editorialized style and are less fact based. Libel and slander are hard to win in a court against the MSM and there is to much of this to really be able to fight all the battles.
You have to be EXTREMELY critical thinking when reading our MSM, otherwise they will nudge you in their direction especially since most the media repeat the same message (repetition / bandwagon effect). People want to be on the winning side of an argument, they want to be part of the group (not be ostracized) and when everyone says the same thing they can't possibly be wrong, right?

I think the idea is that he is a woman hating brute, who just wanted to see the bitch fry, while the other jurors were levelheaded, open-minded, and reasonable people. That’s what they’re selling.
Once it was determined that the holdout was a black male, the profiling has to come in—such as all black males are criminals, all black males abuse women, etc.

The holdout wasn’t on trial nor did he kill 3 children.
