So I watch this and the 2 part interview with Tibbets.

Lot’s of interesting information.

Tibbets said, and I would take his word for it, that the “revisionist” stuff didn’t start until the 90s.

Exactly, except the "unconditional" part. We did agree to not put the emperor on trial for war crimes.
