Last I heard on this story, Best Buy has not apologized to that customer, not have they even admitted the customer had received poor service. The Branch Manager should be getting this straightened out. They are probably hoping it will just fade away, with that same snarky Trans demanding to be addressed as though he were female.

As a general rule I avoid unnecessary conflict. The first time the clerk(ess) told me I was wrong, I would apologize for the sake of politeness, leave, and never return.

There are hundreds of millions of laptops, and I can live without the one I would have bought there.

About 10 years ago we were trying to buy two laptops at Best Buy in Knoxville. The salesman was blatantly trashing Trump. I hope his supervisor was happy, because we walked out and he didn’t sell two laptops that day.

The problem is the customer was trying to be polite. I have only once gotten “it’s ma’am”, and I just stopped using the honorific for the rest of the conversation. “Yes”, “no”, and “I want a laptop” all work just fine without using “sir/ma’am”.

I haven’t been to a best buy nor hit it’s website in years. It’s not the silly gender BS, it’s the anti white stance in management that came to light a few years back. They get the same treatment as Target. Both can go fornicate themselves.
