I have lived in a cashless state for years now.
The only customer who demands cash is my barber. Hee may have recently began to accept plastic,
All incoming receipts are by direct deposit. In the event a check is received, it is deposited from my desk by the mobile bank ap.
All payments are made by credit card to one of three dedicated credit card accounts. Payments not made with some sort of autopay function are made from the payment transaction function on the bank website.
Cash is simply unnecessary for my existence.

I usually shop at Walmart, Target, Aldi, Home Depot, fast foods, restaurants. None of them charge extra for using credit cards.
However some dentists, and most contractors charge 3% more for credit card payment. I totally believe non-chain operators such a salon etc would charge extra. My credit card pays 2 to 3% rewards for each use, so it is mostly a wash.
I'll trade you five hundred walnuts for a tray of ATSAMC21E18A integrated circuits ... won't happen.
It will probably be
20 cans of Pork ‘n’ Beans
for 50 rounds of Ammo
...or 50 expended rounds for 20 cans of pork-and-beans.
