Both are true. Everyone pays more because of credit card surcharges. The are now priced in to everything which can be purchases with a credit card.

I use cash about once a month at Ross store, post office, etc. It is unusual. Cashiers do not give me pennies. People without a love for the Lord Jesus Christ lead empty lives that gets filled up with controlling behaviors.

Ever heard of a thing called a “gas station”? “Cash/Credit” price? 😉

Other merchants just roll the 2.5%-3.5% cost of credit cards into their product selling price.

Some restaurants I have been to charge an extra fee for credit card use (others have a “cash discount” instead), but they are kinda rare....most restaurants just plow the extra cost of credit card processing into the menu price.

I don’t know about actual stores, but I know that at my beauty salon and nail salon, when I check out there’s a lower price for using cash.

We use cash for most things. Of course, online purchases are via credit card.
