PLYMOUTH, Mass. (WJAR) — The jury deliberating in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial in Plymouth Superior Court had a question Friday, but it was not immediately clear what they asked.
Live coverage of the Lindsay Clancy murder trial.
Court came back into session a little after 10 a.m., and the question was apparently discussed and answered at sidebar.
The judge made no mention of it, and court went back into recess as deliberations continue.
Clancy of Duxbury, Massachusetts, is on trial in the strangulation deaths of her three young children -- Cora, Dawson and Callan -- in 2023.
The central question is whether the jury believes she knew what she was doing on the night of the killings.
Her defense says her actions were affected by postpartum psychosis.
The jury can decide if Clancy is not guilty, not guilty by reason of lack of criminal responsibility, guilty of first-degree murder, guilty of second-degree murder or guilty of manslaughter.
A not guilty by reason of insanity verdict would see her remain under psychiatric care. Any of the three criminal convictions would result in prison.
Nine women and three men are deciding the case. They were randomly chosen from the 18 jurors seated for the trial.

Seems to me there has to be premeditation in murdering each of those poor children in turn.
::The crowd of women supporting a child-killer is a more serious long-term problem. None of those women can ever be trusted again with any children, including their own.::

Indeed
I may be off on the numbers. There were three men, but it was majority woman. I thought Jesse said 9/3. I may have misunderstood.
“If she had issues coping, why didn’t she just kill HERSELF?”

Theater. Even I, who never have been suicidal, know that jumping three floors is the minimum to achieve POSSIBLE death. Also, there was quite a bit of snow on the ground so she probably thought it would cushion her fall.
Hubby would come home and find her, “rescue” her, and she’d be able to walk away. Her plan didn’t include the pesky paraplegic thing. Hubby found her, but there was no walking away.
Her whole lengthy plan of murder came together as she expected, until ...until it didn’t.
