Nvidia once again reported blow earnings yesterday. Their stock (along with many other chip companies) is absolutely unbelievable.
They have 42,000 employees, and about half are now worth $25 million or more!!!

Well, it’s much more reliable than your initial post of 99% Asian—which was just a tad bit off.
And that estimates of Nvidia demographics are just that - other then federal reporting forms which are supposed to be confidential, their racial/ethnic makeup is not known. Possibly the numbers are divulged in employee court cases but it's a changing mix.
But having spent 4 decades in the valley - and actually knowing people who worked at SGI (the predecessor company to Nvidia) and later Nvidia, I can safely tell you that my estimate was not all that facetious. And working with ethnic Chinese I can also tell you that they feel that they have every right to discriminate in favor of their race because they are “victims” of the Evil White Men, a position that they have lobbied for and exploited since before the late 19th century.
Nvidia for example is majority Asian. What if it was majority White? They would be in court literally every day defending every single manager position until the managerial staff was a) majority non-White and b) approximately equaled the current demography of Santa Clara county, which is now majority Asian.
And that is not an accident. It's the result of ruthless ethnic cleansing by the federal courts and Santa Clara county government. It's not just Really Smart Asian Kids with Bad Eyesight!
Affirmative Action doesn't reflect demographics, it CREATES demography: the people who get the jobs are the people who hire for those jobs a few years later. So that changes the ethnic makeup of the area....a feedback loop that shows quotas do more then just “equalize” employment. Quotas are actually a method of discrimination against the previous majority, especially when the majority does not have “Protected Class” legal rights.
Personally I doubt that Jensen Huang ever wanted to hire anyone White.
