the dotcom era brought a MASSIVE stock market bust (but the internet clearly percolated through the modern economy in the coming years) - one of the worst bear markets for the indexes ever.
A temporary downturn is more like what we saw in 2022 or April 2025.
The Dotcom swoon was much worse than that...

...sure - the dotcom bust was an overcorrection...it’s all relative.
I just don’t see AI slowing down much for the short term at least, if at all.
